Arrests
* Dennis Leroy Perry, 49, 2749 Siam
Road, was arrested Monday by Tennessee Constable Bobby Canter
on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Michael Dale Dugger, 24, 114 Rainbow Lane,
also known as Michael Whitehead, was arrested Monday morning
by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Greg Nave on
a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.
* Melinda Sue Gilbert, 21, 117 Howard Campbell
Road, was arrested Monday by Tennessee Constable Bobby Canter
on outstanding warrants charging her with failure to appear
in court and violation of probation.
* Jackie Dewayne Davis, 31, 183 Blue Grass Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD Deputy
Chad Grindstaff and charged with being a fugitive from justice
from Avery County, N.C.
* Jonas Earl Benfield, 20, 909 DeJarnette St.,
was arrested Monday night by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on
a warrant charging him with assault under domestic violence.
* Freddie Lee Julian Jr., 25, 111 Earl Ave.,
was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland
on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Karen Leigh Sells, 29, 1503 Glynn Circle, Johnson
City, was arrested Monday evening by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland
on warrants charging her with two counts of obtaining narcotics
by fraud and one count of attempting to obtain narcotics by
fraud. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
March 21.
* Larry Dean Guinn, 18, 2218 Sunflower Lane,
Watauga, was arrested Monday night by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland
and charged with assault. He is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court March 31.
* Bradrick Devon Greenlee, 28, 2736 East Oakland
Ave., was arrested Monday night by CCSD Deputy Gene Moreland
on warrants charging him with aggravated assault, second offense
driving on a revoked license and felony evading arrest.
* Timothy Joe Smith, 24, 891 North Laurel Bloomery,
was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD Sgt. Keith Range
on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.
* Jeana Marie Deloach, 25, 320 Beaver Circle,
Bluff City, was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD Deputy
Jeff Markland and charged with theft under $500. She is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court on March 31.
* Kenneth Wayne Bailey, 25, 344 Morton Road,
Hampton, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Deputy L. Johnson on a warrant charging him with
aggravated assault and vandalism over $1,000.
* Amber Layne Markland, 23, 1220 Idlewylde Circle,
Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday night by CCSD Deputy Sarah
Ryan and charged with driving on a suspended license, violation
of the financial responsibility law and possession of drug
paraphernalia. She was also served with a juvenile summons
and outstanding warrants charging her with three counts of
failure to appear in court on charges of drinking underage.
She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court March
25.
* Ellen Yvonne Maith, 52, 616 Columbia Road,
Bristol, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by CCSD Lt. Rocky
Croy on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court
on a charge of driving on a revoked license.
* Charles Edward Edens, 49, 147 Betterley Place,
was arrested early Tuesday morning by Elizabethton Police
Department PTL Mike Commons and charged with public intoxication.
He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court March
31.
Theft
* Robert C. Beldin, 219 S. Sycamore
St., Apt. 1, reported to Elizabethton Police Department PTL
Shannon Peters that someone had stolen four hubcaps from his
1978 Ford Mustang while it was parked at his residence.
* Stephen Grindstaff, 101 Cripple Creek Road,
reported to CCSD Deputy Eric Buck that sometime between March
14 and March 17, someone stole a DirecTV satellite and four
15-inch Alcco mag wheels from a residence that he owns at
127 Fitzsimmons Road.
* Elisha Powell, 124 Smith Ave., reported to
CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy that sometime within the last six weeks,
someone had stolen some tools from a business he owns called
Pooner's Garage. Taken was a 12500 wench, a Husky chainsaw,
a Dewalt skill saw and a booster pack. He reported that he
suspects a male subject known to him.
* Dixie L. Ayoob, 149 Borderview Road, reported
to CCSD Deputy Jan Black that sometime between Monday afternoon
and Tuesday morning, someone entered her residence and stole
a JVC boombox type radio and some prescription medications
belonging to her.
* Jeffrey Laws, 587 Garrison Hollow Road, reported
to CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett that sometime on Monday, someone
had broken into a residence on some property belonging to
him at 141 H. Heaton Road, and had stolen a radio. Also, vandalism
was done to an outbuilding on the residence and the house
had been ransacked.
