Arrests

ÊÊ * Greg William Ward, 35, 311 Church St., Hampton, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Carter County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Keith Range and charged with reckless driving, violation of the vehicle registration law and violation of the financial responsibility law. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on March 31.
   * Linzel Paul Clawson, 27, 317 Bear Branch Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Sgt. Keith Range and charged with driving on a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on March 31.
   * Charles Leonard Presnell, 45, 2900 W. Market St., Johnson City, was arrested Thursday morning by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.
   * Michael Gene Morris, 22, 106 Roberts Ave., Hampton, was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson and charged with assault under domestic violence and disorderly conduct under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court March 11.
   * Martrez Davon Evans, 19, 1484 Milligan Highway, Apt. 12, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court. He was also served with an outstanding warrant from Sullivan County charging him with motor vehicle theft.
   * James Henry Sims, 41, Lynnwood Apartments, Apt. N-4., was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson on several outstanding warrants charging him with failure to appear in court on seven counts of public intoxication, violation of an order of protection, theft and vandalism. He was also served with a capias warrant out of Washington County Criminal Court.
   * Ference John Molnar, 55, 101 Saphire Drive, was arrested early Friday morning by CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson and served with a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.

Theft

ÊÊ * John Richard Brinkley, of Thomasville, N.C., reported to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that sometime in the last two weeks, someone had broken into a residence he owns at 5084 Highway 321, Butler, and had stolen a Monitor oil heater, a Hoover vacuum cleaner, a cooler and a BB gun. The total estimated value for the property stolen is more than $500.
