Arrests
* Thad J. Buckles, 19, 213 Holston Ave., was
arrested Tuesday night by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Sgt. Keith Range and was served a capias warrant charging
him with failure to serve jail time. He is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court on Friday.
* Carole Diane Fields, 40, 203 Laurels Road,
Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday night by CCSD Deputy Brad
Hamm and charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent
law and possession of Schedule IV narcotics. She is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court on those charges March
3. She was also served with an outstanding warrant charging
her with violation of probation.
* Richard Hoilman, Jr., 20, no address available,
was arrested early Wednesday morning by CCSD Sgt. Keith Range
on a warrant charging him with violation of probation. He
is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Friday.
* Derek D. Pearson, 22, 256 Bowers Lane, was
arrested Tuesday morning by CCSD Deputy Jim Whaley and charged
with driving on a revoked license, violation of the financial
responsibility law, possession of Schedule VI narcotics and
theft under $500.
* Brandon Jamie Garland, 18, 502 Peartree Lane,
was arrested Tuesday evening by CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan and
charged with possession of Schedule VI narcotics, marijuana,
and possession of an unlawful weapon. He is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court on March 4.
* Jason Buck, 324 W. Doe Ave., was arrested just
after Noon on Tuesday by Elizabethton Police Department PTL
Michael McIntosh on a warrant charging him with failure to
appear in court on a charge of driving on a revoked license.
He was also served with two outstanding warrants in Washington
County charging him with violation of probation and failure
to appear in court on a charge of possession of Schedule VI
narcotics.
* Juan C. Melendez-Rivera, 26, 1020 Milligan
Highway, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by officers of the
Johnson City Police Bureau and charged with aggravated robbery
and theft of property over $10,000. He is scheduled to appear
in Washington County General Sessions Court today.
Theft
* Tammy Proffitt, 1462 Broad Street
Extension, Apt. 14, reported to CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett
that her mother had left some personal property belonging
to her at the door of her residence and when she returned
home, the items were missing. The bag her mother left for
her contained $100 in cash as well as personal paperwork.
* Ivalee Pierce, 613 Linden Ave., reported to
EPD PTL Tonya Range that a female subject known to her had
written $10,277.43 in unauthorized checks off of a personal
checking account belonging to her.
* Truman E. Hopson, 1402 Milligan Highway, reported
to EPD PTL Jerry Bradley that sometime in the past four weeks,
someone stole a pistol belonging to him from his residence.
The pistol is described as a small semi-automatic .22 caliber
hand gun that is silver in color. He reported that he suspects
a male subject known to him.
