Arrests
* Ray Anthony Harmon, 43, 117 Oscar Johnson Road,
Hampton, was arrested Monday evening by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Lt. Mike Fraley and charged with aggravated assault,
reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. He is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court March 17.
* Marcus Gabreal Prather, 24, 315 Wilson Ave.,
Johnson City, was arrested Monday afternoon by Elizabethton
Police Department PTL Michael McIntosh and charged with assault
under domestic violence and evading arrest. He was also served
with three outstanding warrants from Carter County, one charging
him with violation of probation and two charging him with
failure to appear in court. Prather was also served with a
warrant from the EPD charging him with theft of a motor vehicle
and vandalism under domestic violence. He is scheduled to
appear in General Sessions Court March 3.
* Matthew Gerald Arnold, 28, 3436 Highway 126,
Blountville, was arrested Monday just before noon by CCSD
Sgt. T. Lowe on an outstanding warrant charging him with violation
of probation. He is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court
Feb. 27.
* Jimmy Todd Scott, 38, E. 4th Street Extension,
Watauga, was arrested Monday evening by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones
on an outstanding warrant charging him with failure to appear
in court. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
March 3. He was also served with an attachment out of Chancery
Court charging him with contempt of court.
* Debra Ann Hurd, 42, 333 Melrose St., Apt. A,
Bristol, was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Kenny
Cornett on an outstanding warrant charging her with writing
worthless checks. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions
Court March 3.
* Phillip Steve Presnell, 19, 225 Beasley
St., was arrested Monday night by EPD PTL Mike Commons on
an outstanding warrant. He is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court March 3.
Theft
* Karen Collins, of Terrace, Wash., reported
to CCSD Brad Hamm on Feb. 21 that someone had stolen more
than $1,800 worth of her property from a residence she owns
at 434 Burbank Road, Roan Mountain. The stolen property includes
seven wooden rocking chairs, an oak roll top desk, three end
tables, two vacuum cleaners, a wooden wardrobe as well as
several items of cooking ware and silver ware. She reported
that she suspects a male and female subject known to her.
* Timothy Wayne Morton, 1439 Southside Road,
reported to CCSD Deputy Dave Ryan on Saturday evening that
sometime that day, someone had stolen a go cart frame and
a black Nissan truck bed liner from his residence.
* Shawn Tim Hughes, 387 Tiger Creek Road, Hampton,
reported to CCSD Deputy Al Meehan that sometime between Feb.
16 and Feb. 21, someone entered his residence and stole two
guns -- a .50 caliber Bobcat black powder rifle and a .22
caliber Ruger semi-automatic rifle -- and a Cobra radar detector.
He reported that he has suspects in the incident.
* Debra Scalf, 265 Slagle Road, reported to EPD
PTL Tonya Range that sometime between mid-January and Feb.
24, someone entered her office at Century 21 Realty, 411 Bemburg
Road, and had stolen her brief case containing personal property
including $50 in cash and $75 in gift certificates.
