Arrests
* Judith A. Hall, 52, 119 Rocky Top, Watauga,
was arrested Thursday evening by Elizabethton Police Department
PTL Shannon Peters and charged with speeding, driving on a suspended
license and violation of the financial responsibility law. She
is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Feb. 18.
* Brian Edward Hoss, 23, 807 E. Unaka Ave., Johnson
City, was arrested Thursday night by EPD PTL Jason Shaw and
charged with assault under domestic violence and vandalism.
He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Feb. 18.
* Tony Martin Murphy, 41, 720 Chestnut St., was
arrested by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy on a warrant charging him with
aggravated assault.
* Robert H. Hyatt Jr., 34, 243 Watauga Road, Watauga,
was arrested early Friday morning by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Deputy Shannon Deloach and charged with DUI, driving
on a revoked license, and simple possession of narcotics. He
is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Feb. 18. He
was also served with a capias warrant charging him with violation
of probation.
* Eric Lee Miller, 21, 139 Leach Road, Johnson
City, was arrested Thursday morning by CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable
on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Johnny Ray Stout, 45, 268 Poga Road, Butler,
was arrested Thursday morning by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones on an
attachment out of Circuit Court charging him with contempt of
court. He is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court March 11.
* Jamie Lynn Kyte, 19, 108 Reecer Road, No. 18,
Johnson City, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Deputy
Kevin Cable on a capias warrant charging him with failure to
appear.
* Amie Nichole Hardin, 24, 104 Williams St., Hampton,
was arrested Thursday evening by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson
on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
* Michael Aaron Oaks, 20, 108 Jack Elliott Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Deputy Bradley
Johnson on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* John Paul Smith, 31, 140 Spears Ave., was arrested
Friday morning by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on a warrant charging
him with violation of probation.
* Christopher Heiman, 19, 129 Aviation Drive, was
arrested early Friday morning by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on a
warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Patrick Dean Hill, 20, 1227 Linden Street, Johnson
City, was arrested Thursday morning by the Johnson City Bureau
of Police on a charge of criminal simulation.
* Gregory Baker, 22, 2205 East Fairview Ave., Johnson
City, was arrested Friday afternoon by the Johnson City Bureau
of Police on a charge of aggravated burglary. The arrest was
the result of an investigation into a burglary that occurred
at 803 East Maple St., Johnson City, on Jan. 30. He is scheduled
to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on Thursday.
* Phillip Alderman Hicks, 23, 1007 Buffalo St.,
#4, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by the Johnson City Bureau
of Police following an investigation into a statutory rape.
Hicks was charged with three counts of statutory rape. He is
scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court
today.
* Frank Parker Thomas, 28, 1816 Fieldcrest Circle
Apt. #7, was arrested Saturday by Johnson City Bureau of Police
PSO M. Adams and charged with felony vandalism at the Peerless
Restaurant, 2531 N. Roan St. According to reports, Thomas became
upset and destroyed the screen on a computer. The computer's
value is estimated at $1,000. Thomas is currently being held
on a $2,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 18.
* On Saturday, officers of the Johnson City Police
Bureau responded to 2116 N. Roan St. in reference to embezzlement
by an employee. A juvenile was charged with one count of felony
embezzlement and two counts of misdemeanor embezzlement. The
juvenile was summoned to Johnson City Juvenile Court and was
released to parents. Arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 21 in
Juvenile Court.
* On Sunday, officers of the Johnson City Police
Bureau responded to 507 E. Fairview Ave. in reference to a single
vehicle accident. MPSO G. Pohto arrested General Dwight Pittman,
46, 1211 E. Chilhowie Ave. at the scene and charged him with
driving under the influence 5th offense, violation of the habitual
motor offender law, driving on a revoked license 3rd offense,
simple assault on an officer, resisting arrest, and violation
of the implied consent law. Pittman is being held in the Washington
County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bond. He is scheduled
to appear in Washington County Sessions Court Feb. 17.
Theft
* Ron L. McCall, 301 Ferguson Ave., reported
to EPD Sgt. John Ramsey that sometime on Thursday, someone broke
into the garage of his residence and stole the bed liner out
of a Mazda B2000 pickup truck belonging to him. He also reported
that the perpetrator had attempted to steal a dirt bike that
was stored there.
* Kimberly Ann Swanner, 219 Fitzsimmons Hill Road,
reported to CCSD Deputy Tom Skeans that someone had entered
her home and stolen some money along with several items of jewelry.
She also reported that the home had been vandalized. The cords
of the electrical appliances in the home had been cut, a clock
radio had been placed in a sink of water and medication belonging
to Swanner had been placed in the sink and had dissolved, according
to reports. Swanner reported that she suspects a male subject
known to her.
* Michael Collins, 575 Garrison Hollow Road, reported
to CCSD Deputy Rebecka Bowers that on Thursday his 16-year-old
son had been at Unaka High School to attend a basketball game
and that while he was there, someone had broken into his 1994
Honda and had stolen between 40 and 50 compact discs as well
as his son's backpack which contained a textbook.
Missing person
* Kristina April Schramm, 16, was reported
missing by her father, Everett Schramm, 199 River Road. She
is described as a white female with brown hair and eyes, five
feet, seven inches tall and weighing approximately 195 pounds.
Mr. Schramm reported that his daughter had ran away from home
on Feb. 2 at approximately 10 p.m. and had taken clothing with
her.
