Arrests
* Shelia Maria Bowers, 31, 250 Bullldog
Hollow Road, was arrested Monday by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Deputy Kevin Cable and charged with violation of
an order of protection. Bowers was arrested without incident
and was scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Monday.
* Larry Keith Oliver, 36, 291 Cedar Grove Road,
Johnson City, was arrested Monday by CCSD Officer Dennis Leonard
and charged with violation of probation. He was scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court Monday.
* George Marvin Cook, 39, 254 Buck Creek Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Monday by CCSD Sgt. Johnson on
a capias for failure to pay fines and a forgery charge. He
was scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court yesterday.
* Enoch Paul Taylor, 24, 138 Indian Creek Road,
was arrested Monday by CCSD Lt. Bob Hooks and charged with
aggravated burglary, aggravated assault under domestic violence,
and vandalism under domestic violence.
Burglary
* On Monday, CCSD Deputy Dean Jones
was dispatched to 114 Davis Hollow Road Apt. #4 in reference
to a burglary. Jenny Mullins reported to Jones that as she
left her home that morning, she found one of the windows of
her vehicle broken and approximately 50 CDs missing. Police
also found another burglarized vehicle belonging to Earnest
Setzer, 114 Davis Hollow Road Apt. #9. Setzer told police
that, though his car doors were locked, his vehicle was easily
accessible. Missing from the vehicle were a CD player, two
speakers, an amplifier, approximately 60 CDs and a CD case.
* On Monday, Randy Branson, General Manager of
Fleetwood Home Center, 1321 U.S. Highway 19E, reported to
EPD Capt. Bill Fraley that, sometime between Saturday night
and Monday morning, someone stole 18 tires and nine axles
from a storage area behind the business.
* On Monday, Jessica D. Campbell reported to
EPD PTL Mike Commons that, while she was working as a clerk
at Discount Tobacco, 520 Roan Street, a male subject entered
the store, stole five packs of cigarettes, ran out of the
building, and escaped in a black four-door vehicle.
Vandalism
* On Monday, Crissy Dee Salyer reported
to EPD Captain Rusty Verran that while her vehicle was parked
at 1825 G. Street Apt. 3 someone scratched it with a key.
The scratch started at the trunk of the vehicle and extended
down the driver's side to the hood.
