Arrests
* Jose Raul Espinoza, 39, 351 U.S. Highway
91, Charles Apartments, Apt. 1, was arrested Monday morning
by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeff Markland
and charged with aggravated assault under domestic violence
and public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court Feb. 21.
* Harvey Dale Campbell, 34, 172 Grindstaff Hollow
Road, was arrested Monday evening by CCSD Deputy Albert Nave
on a warrant charging him with criminal impersonation.
* John Paul Smith, 31, 140 Spears Ave., was arrested
Monday evening by CCSD Deputy Fred Sluder on a warrant charging
him with theft over $1,000. He is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court Feb. 7.
Theft
* Kevin Moor, 420 Crook St., Hampton,
reported to CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach that on Sunday, between
9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m., someone entered his residence and stole
a 19 inch television. An estimated value for the television
is not available.
* Tammy Blevins, 306 West St., Roan Mountain,
reported to CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley that sometime Friday evening,
someone entered her residence and stole more than $6,700 in
personal property from the home including a large amount of
jewelry, a Sony Play Station along with several games and
an Ithaca pump action 12-gauge shotgun. The investigation
into the break-in is ongoing.
* Janet Stahl, 729 Ridgefield Road, reported
to CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable that someone had entered a storage
facility that she rented and had stolen a small refrigerator
valued at $150.
* Steven Curt Deyton, Spruce Pine, N.C., reported
to CCSD Deputy Tim Tester that someone had broken into a storage
building he owns on Upper Shell Creek Road, Roan Mountain,
and had stolen more than $1,500 in assorted tools.
* Charles Henson, 311 Centennial Drive, reported
to Elizabethton Police Department PTL Joey Proffitt on Thursday
that sometime the night before, someone had made entered two
vehicles at his residence and had stolen a Nokia cellular
phone.
* Keith Bryan Ricker, Greeneville, reported to
EPD PTL Joy Shoun that while his vehicle was parked at Wal-Mart
from 10:30-11:15 a.m. on Monday, someone entered the vehicle
and stole a portable CD player, several CDs and some prescription
medication belonging to him.
* Richard Lynn Greenwell, 185 Old Charity Hill
Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Mary Miller that on Monday,
someone came onto the porch of his residence and stole two
Firehawk tires and four Player wire wheels.
* Ronnie English, 109 Smith Road, Roan Mountain,
reported to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on Monday that sometime
during the previous night, someone stole a CD player and speakers
out of his truck while it was parked at his residence.
* Randy Branson, manager of Fleetwood Mobile
Homes, 1321 U.S. Highway 19E, reported to EPD PTL Joy Shoun
that someone had broken into two modular homes at the business
and had stolen two refrigerators, a dishwasher, and a stove.
Total estimated value of the stolen items is $3,300.
Vandalism
* Bill Gentry, 120 Scott Lane, reported to CCSD
Deputy Jeff Markland that sometime between Jan. 31 and Monday,
someone had struck the building of General Machine and Tool
Co. Inc., 152 Don Lewis Blvd., with a vehicle and caused extensive
damage to the block and foundation.
Animal Cruelty
* Shannon Carrier, 664 Dry Hollow Road,
reported to CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley that six goats belonging
to him were killed by dogs in a field in front of his residence.
He stated that he did not know to whom the dogs belonged,
but he described them as being medium-sized dogs that appeared
to be Chows and that two of the dogs were black and one was
brown.
