Arrests
* Donald Kyle Yontz, Sr., 49, 516
E. Cottage Ave., was arrested Friday evening by Elizabethton
Police Department PTL Jason Shaw and charged with public intoxication.
* Crystal D. Potter, 27, 832 Highway 91,
Apt. C19, was arrested Friday evening by EPD PTL Shannon Peters
and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license and violation
of the implied consent law.
* James Ira Earl Arnold, 23, 1272 Bluefied
Ave., Apt. E-104, was arrested Friday night by EPD PTL Jason
Shaw on a warrant charging him with assault under domestic
violence. He was also served with an order of protection.
* Earl Lee Dugger, 32, 614 Garrison Hollow
Road was arrested early Sunday morning by EPD PTL Shannon
Peters and charged with public intoxication.
* Christopher Todd Hughes, 31, was arrested
early Sunday morning by EPD Sgt. John Ramsey and charged with
DUI. He was also served an attachment from Juvenile Court.
* David Shawn Wright, 33, 139 Mine Hollow Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Sunday evening by Carter County
Sheriff's Department Deputy Shannon Deloach on a warrant charging
him with violation of probation. He was also served with an
attachment pro corpus. He is scheduled to appear in Criminal
Court on Feb. 5 and Juvenile Court on Feb. 6.
* Gregory Lynn Pritchard, 35, 127 Beryl
Blevins Road, was arrested Sunday just before Noon by CCSD
Deputy Dean Jones and charged with assault under domestic
violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
on Feb. 10.
* Colleen Lynn Miller, 42, 127 Beryl Blevins
Road, was arrested Sunday just before Noon by CCSD Deputy
Dean Jones and charged with assault under domestic violence.
She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Feb.
10.
* Rickey Allen Laws, 50, 109 Oscar Banks
Road, Apt. 29, Johnson City, was arrested just before Noon
on Sunday by CCSD Deputy K. Cable and charged with public
intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions
Court on Feb. 11.
* Amber Dee Shepherd, 34, 358 Rambling Road,
Johnson City, was arrested early Sunday morning by CCSD Sgt.
Chuck Madgett and charged with driving on a suspended license,
theft under $500, violation of the vehicle registration law
and evading arrest.
* Jan Derrick Gobble, 43, 525 Berry Ridge
Road, Jonesborough, was arrested Saturday afternoon by CCSD
Deputy J. Booher on a warrant charging him with failure to
appear in court.
* Kyman Grindstaff, 44, Bishop Hollow Road,
was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy and charged with
public intoxication and introducing contraband into a penal
facility. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
on Feb. 7.
* James Matthew Turbyfield, 28, 170 Dark Hollow
Road, was arrested just before Noon on Friday by CCSD Deputy
Dean Jones on a capias warrant charging him with failure to
appear.
* Roy Walter Hotlsclaw, Jr., 40, Buck Mountain
Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday morning by CCSD Sgt.
Patrick Johnson and charged with public intoxication and possession
of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court on Feb. 18.
* Pamela Kay Brent, 33, 401 Oakview Ave., Apt.
447, Bristol, Va., was arrested Saturday afternoon by CCSD
Deputy Charlotte R. Walker and charged with possession of
Schedule IV narcotics and introducing contraband into a penal
facility. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
on Feb. 11.
* Shirley Ann Williams, 50, 1339 Highway 91,
was arrested Sunday evening by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck and charged
with assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court on Feb. 7.
* Katrina Dawn Davis, 18, 138 Edgewater Road,
was arrested Sunday afternoon by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley and
charged with assault under domestic violence. She is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court on Feb. 11.
* James Edward Reece, 34, 356 H Heaton Road,
was arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley and charged with
assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court on Feb. 11.
* Billy Gene Stout, 25, no address available,
was arrested by Johnson City Police Bureau officers and charged
with possession of stolen property over $10,000, criminal
impersonation, identity theft, driving on a suspended license
and violation of probation.
* Patric Sutton, 29, Camdon, W.V., was arrested
by JCPB officers Friday night and charged with possession
of stolen property over $10,000 and possession of burglary
tools.
* Maurice William Taylor, 29, 1100 1/2 E. Market
St., was arrested early Monday morning by JCPB officers and
charged with aggravated burglary.
* Preston Allan Self, 19, 203 Pierce Laws Road,
Jonesborough, was arrested early Sunday morning by JCPB officers
and charged with two counts of burglary to a business, two
counts of theft of property over $10,000 and one count of
theft of property over $1,000.
Theft
* Kevin Moor, 420 Crook St., Hampton,
reported to CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach that on Sunday, between
9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m., someone entered his residence and stole
a 19 inch television. An estimated value for the television
is not available.
* Tammy Blevins, 306 West St., Roan Mountain,
reported to CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley that sometime Friday evening,
someone entered her residence and stole more than $6,700 in
personal property from the home including a large amount of
jewelry, a Sony Play Station along with several games and
an Ithaca pump action 12 gauge shot gun. The investigation
into the break in is ongoing.
* Janet Stahl, 729 Ridgefield Road, reported
to CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable that someone had entered a storage
facility that she rented and had stolen a small refrigerator
valued at $150.
* Steven Curt Deyton, Spruce Pine, N.C., reported
to CCSD Deputy Tim Tester that someone had broken into a storage
building he owns on Upper Shell Creek Road, Roan Mountain,
and had stolen more than $1,500 in assorted tools.
* Charles Henson, 311 Centennial Drive, reported
to EPD PTL Joey Proffitt on Thursday that sometime the night
before, someone had made entry to two vehicles at his residence
and had stolen a Nokia cellular phone. According to reports,
calls had been using the phone and the service provider for
the phone would not agree to leave the phone service on without
the owner having to pay for calls that were made in order
to help in the investigation.
Animal Cruelty
* Shannon Carrier, 664 Dry Hollow
Road, reported to CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley that six goats belonging
to him were killed by dogs in a field in front of his residence.
He stated that he did not know to whom the dogs belonged,
but he described them as being medium-sized dogs that appeared
to be Chows and that two of the dogs were black and one was
brown.
