Arrests
* Taukia Lea Shell, 20, 148 Old Rock Quarry
Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested early Sunday morning by
Elizabethton Police Department PTL Jerry Bradley and charged
with public intoxication and underage consumption of alcohol.
She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Jan.
24.
* Linville Edwards Clawson, 27, 126 Clawson Hollow
Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested early Sunday morning by
EPD PTL Jerry Bradley and charged with DUI. He is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court Jan. 24.
* Susan Denise Shell, 39, 1420 Old Elizabethton
Highway, Bluff City, was arrested early Sunday morning by
EPD PTL Jerry Bradley and charged with public intoxication,
simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Jan.

* Troy Elzie Clawson, 59, Crabtree Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested early Sunday morning by EPD PTL
Jerry Bradley and charged with public intoxication. He is
scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Jan. 24.
* Noah A. Gouge, 23, 612 W. C St., was arrested
on Jan. 14, by EPD Sgt. John Ramsey on an outstanding capias
warrant charging him with the sale of Schedule VI narcotics.
* Garry Hyder, 29, 114 Vanover Road, Johnson
City, was arrested Monday evening by EPD Sgt. Matt Bailey
and charged with third offense driving on a revoked license.
He was also issued a citation for speeding.
* Robert S. Hall, Jr., 37, 825 Cambridge Ave.,
was arrested Saturday evening by EPD PTL Richard Haney and
EPD Sgt. Matt Bailey, and on a warrant charging him with stalking
under domestic violence. He was also charged with resisting
arrest and assault as a result of the incident. He is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court Jan. 24.
* Joshua David Lovette, 21, 308 Cripple Creek
Loop, was arrested Sunday afternoon by EPD PTL Mike McIntosh
and PTL Mike Commons and charged with DUI, violation of the
financial responsibility law and following too closely with
contact. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
Jan. 27.
* Teresa Gale Adams, 44, 127 Dark Hollow
Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Monday night by Carter County
Sheriff's Department Deputy Bradley Johnson and charged with
making false calls to 911. She is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court Jan. 28.
* Tony Garland, 31, 200 Cambridge Ave., was arrested
Monday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck and charged with
sixth offense driving on a revoked license, evading arrest
and violation of the vehicle registration law. He is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court Feb. 7.
* Stephanie Dawn Pritchard, 31, 567 Hampton Creek
Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Tuesday morning by CCSD
Deputy Shannon Deloach on a warrant charging her with violation
of probation.
* Alvin Clifford Hicks, 22, 214 Dolan Hollow
Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD
Deputy Shannon Deloach on a warrant charging him with violation
of probation.
* Melissa Burchette Williams, 29, 208 Spring
St., was arrested Sunday evening by CCSD Brad Hamm and charged
with DUI, violation of the implied consent law, possession
of Schedule IV narcotics and possession of a legend drug.
She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Jan.
24.
* Lorretla M. Aukes, 28, 112 P. Jones Road, Chuckey,
was arrested Friday by CCSD Constable Bobby Canter on three
capias warrants charging her with failure to appear in court.
Theft
* Brandy N. McIntosh, 421 Monument Place,
reported to EPD PTL Jennifer Mayberry that sometime Sunday
night, someone broke into her 1994 Honda Civic and attempted
to steal the CD player, doing damage to the vehicle. She also
reported that $300 worth of CDs were stolen as well as an
additional $75 in personal property.
* Kathy Scalf, circulation manager for the Elizabethton
Star reported to EPD PTL Shannon Peters that someone had stolen
a coin-operated newspaper box belonging to the newspaper that
was located at Sam's Plumbing, on West G Street.
* Rachel Bynum, 1294 Bluefield Ave., Apt.
B1-115, reported to EPD Sgt. Matt Bailey that on Jan. 16 she
had parked her Ford Explorer at the Redi Mart on Siam Road,
and, when she returned to get the vehicle, it was gone. The
officer contacted the employees of the service station, and
they stated that they had not had the vehicle towed.
* Francis Davis, 211 Garland Branch Road, Watauga,
reported to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that someone entered her
residence on Jan. 20 and had stolen some prescription medication
belonging to her. She reported that she suspects a female
subject known to her who had visited her residence that day.
* Billy G. Heaton, 213 W. Mill St., reported
to EPD Sgt. John Ramsey that someone had entered his residence
on Jan. 17 and had stolen a bottle of prescription medication
belonging to him, Oxycontin. He reported that only his wife
knew where the medicine was kept in the house and that even
he did not know where she kept it. He reported that nothing
else was missing from the home.
Animal Cruelty
* Mark Vess, 377 Buck Mountain
Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that on Jan. 17 his
dog had been caught in a snare trap on the property of a neighbor
and was frozen to a tree. He reported that after freeing the
dog from the trap that he rushed it to the animal hospital
where the veterinarian advised that every bone in the dog's
head was broken and that there was no way to help the dog.
According to Vess, the veterinarian then euthanized the animal.
Further investigation into the matter is pending.
