Arrests
* Benjamin Eddie Murphy, 45, 716 Sugar Hollow
Road, was arrested Monday night by Elizabethton Police Department
PTL Shannon Peters and charged with assault under domestic
violence and public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court Jan. 10.
* Robert W. Weaver, 36, 140 Watauga Ave., was
arrested Tuesday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Lt.
Rocky Croy on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear
in court on costs and fines.
* Joshua Evan Dubuque, 18, 220 S. Sycamore St.,
was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Donald White
on an outstanding capias warrant for violation of probation.
* Timmy P. Green, 48, 2313 Wheeler St., Johnson
City, was arrested Monday night by Johnson City Police Bureau
officers and charged with theft over $1,000. The arrest was
the result of an investigation into a stolen vehicle which
was reported missing from 2288 N. Roan Street on Monday.
Summons
* Steven Hamm, 418 S. Lynn Ave., was issued a
summons by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy to appear in General Sessions
Court on Jan. 21 to face charges of reckless driving and violation
of financial responsibility.
Theft
* Dorrine Young, 924 Pine Ridge Circle, Apt.
A, reported to EPD PTL Jesus Pena that sometime between 4:30
a.m. and 4 p.m. someone had stolen the hubcaps off of her
1998 Dodge Neon. She described the hubcaps as being plastic
and gray in color. She reported their estimated value to be
$20. According to reports, Young stated that she had noticed
the hubcaps were still on her vehicle at 4:30 a.m. before
she went to work. According to reports, there are no known
suspects at this time.
* EPD Capt. Arthur Smithdeal responded to a call
to Napa Auto Parts, 100 W. Elk Ave., to investigate a reported
break-in to one of the company's vehicles. According to reports,
a Napa Auto Parts company truck, a white 1998 Chevrolet S10,
had been broken into by means of prying the window open and
unlocking the door. According to reports, the glove box and
storage area behind the seat had been gone through, but nothing
is known to be missing at this time.
Assault
* Wayne Crawford, 106 Swimming Pool Road, Hampton,
reported to CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach that Monday night,
while he was in bed, he heard glass breaking and got up to
investigate. He stated that when he walked to the front door,
he found glass on the floor. He then stated that he went out
onto the front porch and saw two male subjects known to him.
According to reports, Crawford said that one of the two had
been at his house previously that evening drinking and that
he had told the man to leave. Crawford then stated that a
third male subject known to him came around the house and
hit him with a rock. He stated that at that time, all three
subjects left. An estimate for the cost to repair the damaged
windows was not available at the time of the report.
