Arrests
* Gladys Jean Hughes, 59, 126 Perkins
Road, Bakersville, N.C., was arrested Tuesday by Johnson City
Police Department Inv. Billy Church on a charge of forgery
over $1,000 and theft of property over $1,000. She is being
held in the Washington County Detention Center under a $20,000
bond. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County
General Sessions Court today.
* Ryan S. Corbin, 18, 180 Spring Drive, Johnson
City, was arrested Tuesday by JCPD MPSO Greg Norris and charged
with possession of a Schedule VI drug for resale and possession
of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Washington
County Detention Center under a $6,000 bond and is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court today.
* Bernardo Jimenez Hernandez, age not reported,
703.5 Carter Sells Road #4, Johnson City, was arrested Wednesday
by JCPD PSO Sollie Rabun and charged with aggravated domestic
assault. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court
today.
* Christina M. Wolfe, 23, 115 Beechnut St. #A-7,
Johnson City, and Joshua A. Owens, 22, 433 W. Poplar St.,
Johnson City, were arrested Wednesday by JCPD Inv. Billy Church
and charged with two counts each of aggravated robbery. Owens
was also charged with simple possession of marijuana. The
arrests are the result of separate investigations into the
armed robberies of two BP Roadrunner gas stations which occurred
on Tuesday. The two are scheduled to be arraigned in General
Sessions Court Friday.
* Robert James Norris, 37, 131 Jack Bradley
Road, was arrested Monday afternoon by Elizabethton Police
Department PTL Michael McIntosh and charged with criminal
trespassing.
* Ronald Dale Johnson, 25, was arrested
Saturday just before Noon by EPD officers and charged with
larceny.
* David M. Markland, 29, 143 Amanda Smalling
Road, was arrested Monday night by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Deputy Bradley Johnson and charged with driving
on a suspended license and violation of the light law. He
is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Jan. 14.
* Darlene D. Smith, 49, 433 Barefield Road,
Chuckey, was arrested Monday evening by CCSD Sgt. Patrick
Johnson and charged with sixth offense DUI, violation of registration
and violation of implied consent. She is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court on Jan. 13.
* Billy Michael Ellis, 28, 1500 Milligan
Highway, Johnson City, was arrested Monday morning by CCSD
Deputy Johnny Miller and charged with violation of probation.
* Kenneth Trivette, 38, 15401 Highway 67
W, Butler, was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD Constable
Bobby Canter and charged with violation of probation.
* Cheryl Lynn Harrison, 24, 315 Reynolds
Road, was arrested Monday night by CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable
and charged with violation of probation. He is scheduled to
appear in Criminal Court on Jan. 6.
* Lanny Allen Markland, Jr., 20, 411 Washington
Ave., was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD Sgt. Patrick
Johnson and charged with criminal impersonation and served
with several outstanding warrants. Two of the warrants were
for violation of probation in Carter County, one was for violation
of probation in Washington County and another was for violation
of probation in Davidson County. He was also served with five
summons issued by the Juvenile Court and an attachment pro-corpus
from Juvenile Court as well.
* Andrea L. Todd, 22, Villager Lodge, Room
110, Johnson City, was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD
Sgt. Patrick Johnson on an outstanding warrant for assault
under domestic violence. She is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court on Jan. 13.
* Sandy Juanita Bulla, 28, 150 Springs Drive,
Johnson City, was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD Sgt.
Patrick Johnson and charged with driving on a suspended license
and violation of financial responsibility. She is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court on Jan. 13.
Summons
* John H. Harr, 38, 605 W E St., was issued
a summons by EPD Capt. Rusty Verran to appear in General Session
Court on Jan. 28 on assault charges.
Theft
* Melissa Smith, manager at Peebles, 730
W. Elk Ave., reported to EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe that sometime
Sunday night, someone had stolen a large banner from in front
of the store. Estimated value of the banner is $100.
* Barbara Shoemaker, 161 Big Cove Creek,
Roan Mountain, reported to CCSD Lt. Harvey Guess that sometime
between Dec. 22 and Dec. 24, someone entered her residence
and stole a Winchester 30-30 lever action rifle valued at
$350. She reported that she had two suspects in the incident.
* Josh Shoemaker, 172 Dark Hollow Road,
Roan Mountain, reported to CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson that
just before midnight on Monday, someone entered his residence
and stole a monitor heater and had cut the line leading from
a kerosene tank to the residence. Estimated value of the heater
and the estimated cost of the damage is $800.
* Keith Hart, 301 Laurels Road, reported
to CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan that someone had stolen more than
$1,200 in tools from a residence he owns that is under construction.
