Arrests
* Timmy Gene Whaley, 39, 607 Sugar Hollow Road, Apt. C, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Al Meehan on a capias out of General Sessions Court charging him with failure to appear in court.
* Scotty Wayne Potter, 26, 267 Wolfe Lane, Butler, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach on a warrant charging him with violation of probation. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court today.
* William R. Shell, 40, 165 Lovers Lane, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Al Meehan and charged with driving on a revoked license. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 27.
* Joey Edward Holmes, 25, 1615 Broad Street Extension, Apt. 4, was arrested early Thursday morning by CCSD Sgt. Tim Lowe and charged with assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 6
* Leon Ray Guy, 20, 69 Crabtree Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Wednesday morning by CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach and charged with driving on a suspended license and the use of an off-road vehicle on a highway. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 3.
* John Jeffery Cline, 37, 130 Gene Drive, Butler, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy and charged with burglary. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 17.
* Gene Darrell Sims, 56, Jackson Ave., was arrested Wednesday night by Elizabethton Police Department Sgt. Roger Crowe and charged with public intoxication. He was also served with a capias charging him with failure to appear in court on six previous charges of public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 6.
* Tommy Nathan Burrow, 44, 101 Burrow Lane, was arrested Wednesday morning by EPD Ptl. Michael Merritt and charged with speeding, driving on a suspended license and violation of the financial responsibility law. He was also served with a warrant charging him with violation of probation. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court today.

Theft
* The owner of Pioneer Sign Company, 436 E. Doe Ave., reported to EPD Capt. Clyde Croy on Wednesday morning that sometime early that morning or during the previous night, someone had stolen approximately $700 worth of cutting torches gauges and hoses from the back of a boom truck which was parked at the business.
