Arrests

   * Noah A. Gouge, 23, 612 W. C St., was arrested Tuesday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Mike Sproviero on a capias charging him with failure to appear on violation of probation, DUI, driving on suspended license and assault under domestic violence.
   * Glenn Allen Hopkins, 23, 903 Pine Ridge Circle, was issued a citation Tuesday by EPD Ptl. Mike Commons after the officer responded to White's Fresh Foods on Stateline Road regarding a shoplifting complaint. The store manager told the officer that he observed Hopkins put a package of meat under his shirt. Hopkins told the officer that he was not trying to steal the meat, but that his hands were full, so he decided to carry it to the register by placing it under his shirt. He was issued a citation for shoplifting.
   * David Henry Blevins, 19, Lynnwood Apartments, was arrested Tuesday by EPD Ptl. Joy Shoun on a warrant charging him with theft from a motor vehicle and burglary from a motor vehicle.
   * April Dawn Davies, 22, 2313 Wheeler St., Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday by EPD Sgt. Jack Ramsey and charged with second-offense driving on suspended license.
   * James Richard Campbell Jr., 28, 1329 Gibson St., Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Eric Buck on charges of violation of probation and failure to appear on violation of an order of protection.
   * Jeffrey Alan White, 41, 302 3rd Ave., Hampton, was arrested Tuesday by CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach on a capias charging him with failure to appear on child custody.
   * Richard W. Hoilman, 21, 110 Methodist Road, Telford, was arrested Tuesday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Harvey A. Pritchard III, 46, 310 Berry Hill Road, was arrested Tuesday by Constable Bobby Canter on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Joseph Andrew Mathes, 36, 218 Bowers Lane, was issued a summons Saturday by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy charging him with driving on suspended license.
   * Joshua A. Shomaker, 19, 172 Dark Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, and Roy Dean Teaster, 40, 170 Dark Hollow Road, were issued citations Tuesday by EPD Ptl. Mike Sproviero charging them with shoplifting at Wal-Mart.
   * Otis Eugene Chandler, 52, 502 E. Myrtle Ave., Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Tonya Range and charged with assault under domestic violence.
   * Randal Harvey Keebler, 40, Jackson Avenue, was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Tonya Range and charged with public intoxication and assault under domestic violence.
   * Kenneth Darrell Weaver, 41, 306 W. H St., was arrested Sunday by EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
   * Adam Michael Hensley, 19, 1602 W. Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, was arrested Wednesday by officers of Johnson City Police Bureau and charged with felony vandalism. The arrest is the result of investigation into a vandalism that occurred at Cherokee School, 2100 Cherokee Road, on Aug. 23.

Meth lab

   * Information received from Jonesborough Police Department led Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies and agents from the First Judicial District Drug Task Force to the discovery of a methamphetamine lab on Tuesday. According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, a small amount of meth and assorted paraphernalia was found at 453 Dean Archer Road in Jonesborough. DTF agents and sheriff's deputies found numerous chemicals used in the manufacture of meth, along with utensils and bottles of nearly completed product, Graybeal said. A chemical cleanup crew was called to dispose of the chemicals. No charges have been placed and the investigation is continuing.

Burglary

   * CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable responded Tuesday to A1 Auto Care, 104 Iodent Hwy., regarding the burglary/vandalism to several vehicles. Curtis L. Buckles, owner of the business, told the officer that three vehicles on his back lot had been vandalized and burglarized over the past weekend. A 1991 Honda Prelude had the rear window broken out and a stereo removed from the dash, damaging the dash trim. A 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo had a Pioneer stereo removed from the dash, also damaging the dash of the vehicle. Also, the factory stereo was removed from a 1990 Mitsubishi Montero, causing damage to the trim area of the dash.
   * William Greenwell, 189 Old Charity Hill Road, reported Tuesday to CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett that someone had used a garden hoe to pry open the back door to his residence and then took a 7.62 x 54 Russian Lagant with bayonet, and a Harrington and Richardson .22 long rifle with magnum cylinder.

Theft

   * Mary C. Campbell, 173 E.L. Bowers Road, reported Tuesday to EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters that on Monday neighbors noticed a white Chevrolet pickup pulling a gray horse trailer, stop in front of the house and observed a male subject go behind the residence. The subject then returned and loaded a lawn mower on the horse trailer. The subject also stopped and looked in the mailbox. Campbell said the neighbors did not call 911 because at the time, they thought the subject was related to her.
   * Joseph George Belovary, 151 Ranger Drive, reported Tuesday to CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson that a yellow Bostich-brand finish air nailer had been taken from his garage.
