Arrests

   * Casey Author Reed, 37, 111 Stillwater Circle, was arrested Wednesday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Investigator Laverne Julian on a capias charging him with failure to appear in Criminal Court.
   * Rebecca S. Vestal, 23, 154 Keenburg Road, was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones on General Sessions' warrants charging her with violation of probation and a capias charging her with failure to appear.
   * Gregory Lee Calderon, 20, 151 Jackson Ave., was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley on a capias charging him with failure to appear in General Sessions Court.
   * Christy Berry Hicks, 33, 420 W. Maple St. #4, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable on a capias from General Sessions Court charging her with failure to appear on theft under $500.
   * Linda Nave, 30, 201 Franklin Lane, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland after he and Lt. Bobby Huffman responded to a 911 hang-up call at the residence. Dorothy Harrell told officers that she had been staying at the residence with her daughter, Nave, and that they had been involved in an argument. Harrell said Nave grabbed her by the arms and jerked her around. Harrell was bleeding from two places on her left arm and one on her right. Nave was taken into custody and charged with assault under domestic violence.
   * Jack Willard Nave, 52, 308 Johnson Ave., was arrested Wednesday by Constable Bobby Canter on a capias charging him with failure to appear to serve jail time.
   * April B. Arnold, 197 Carl Smith Road, Hampton, was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Janice Black on 10 counts of violation of worthless checks.
   * Patricia Leona Dolan, 39, 152 Jackson Ave., was issued a summons Wednesday by EPD Ptl. Brook Mullins after officers responded to a call at Peebles. Dolan was issued a summons charging her with shoplifting.
   * Betty Irene Honosky, 45, 3780 Oldtown Road, Shawsville, Va., was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan following a search at the prison in Roan Mountain. During visitation searches, Honosky was found to have approximately 7 grams of marijuana, a pipe, rolling papers, scales and hemostats in her possession. She was charged with possession of Schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vandalism

   * Sherman R. Babb, 109 Oscar Banks Road, Apt. 29, Johnson City, reported Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable that sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 11:25 p.m., someone had kicked in the back door of his apartment, damaging the door knob, door and frame. No items were reported missing at the time of the report.
