Arrests


* Thomas Frost Carriger, 43, 2274 Dave Buck Rd., Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Lt. B.L. Huffman on a charge of public intoxication.
* Johnny Boyd Holden, 43, 2811 McKinley Road Apt. 1, Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Rusty Verran on charges of driving under the influence, fourth offense, resisting arrest and violation of the implied consent law. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 11.
* Troy Adam Pilkton, 21, 121 Ruby Ave., was arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Dave Ryan on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Jeffrey Lee Guy, 23, 136 Beechwood Dr., Johnson City, was arrested Friday by EPD Ptl. Brook Mullins on a warrant charging him with criminal trespassing.
* Mark Belcher, 38, 110 Carter View Dr. Lot #7, was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Matt Bailey on charges of driving under the influence, driving without a license, violation of the implied consent law and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 8.
* Frederick Matthew Grindstaff, 20, 4497 Old Toe Rd., Newland, N.C., was arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. B.L. Huffman on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 19.
* Billy Roger Turbyfill, 57, U.S Highway 5981 S., Blowing Rock, N.C., was arrested Saturday by EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe on a charge of public intoxication.
* Sheila Dawn Ferguson, 39, 124 Treadway St., Hampton, was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Matt Bailey on charges of driving under the influence, 2nd offense, driving on a revoked license, and violation of the implied consent law.
* Clarence R. Bateman, 60, 104 Treadway St., was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Matt Bailey on a charge of violation of probation.
* Patricia Jane Meyer, 46, 604 Hattie Ave., was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Matt Bailey on a charge of public intoxication.
* Terri L. Bowling, 22, 177 Bear Hollow Rd., was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Brook Mullins on a charge of driving under the influence.
* Justin R. Radford, 19, 283 Howard Hyder Rd., was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Brook Mullins on a charge of driving under the influence.
* Spencer Lee Clay, 40, 2183 Dry Creek Rd., Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on a charge of public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 18.
* Asa Ray Ward, 60, 910 Cedar Avenue, was arrested Friday by EPD Ptl. Jason Shaw on a warrant charging him with stalking.
* Raymond Keith McKinney, 29, 45 Campbell Rd., Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson on charges of possession of a handgun while under the influence, unlawful carrying of a handgun and public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 5.
* Jenny Helen Kalbfleisch, 61, 342 Dalewood Drive, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan on charges of public intoxication and assault on an officer. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 19.
* Terry Allen Potter, 39, 604 N. East St., was arrested Saturday by Constable Harvey Shaffer on charges of driving on a revoked license and violating the habitual motor offender law.
* Lersa Diane Hodge, 40, 102 Heather Lane, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on a charge of disorderly conduct. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 18.
* Charlie Walter Mitchell, 27, 1713 Carter Ave., Johnson City, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Tom Skeans on a warrant issued from General Sessions Court charging him with violation of probation.
* Douglas Carol Pegg, 42, 182 Little Stoney Creek Rd., was arrested Friday by CCSD Sgt. Ken Dugger on charges of felony evading arrest and driving on a suspended license, fourth offense. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Aug. 5.
* Kenneth Howard Trivette, 39, 116 Green Acres Dr., was arrested Friday by CCSD Rick Taylor on a charge of violation of probation.
* Heather Starr Russell, 23, 152 Webb Hollow Rd., was arrested Friday by CCSD Sgt. Wendell Treadway on a warrant charging her with violation of probation. She is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court on Sept. 5.
* James B. Lauderdale, 715 Wil-Mar Dr., Johnson City, was arrested by officers of the Johnson City Bureau of Police on Monday. Lauderdale was charged with driving under the influence, felony reckless child endangerment, and violation of the implied consent law.


Burglary


* CCSD Deputy Sgt. Tim Lowe responded to a burglary call on Friday. Johnnie Richardson reported to Lowe that sometime between Wednesday and Friday, someone entered the garage on his property at 2443 Highway 91 and took an air compressor valued at $200.
* EPD Ptl. Tonya Range was dispatched to the Carter County Sheriff's Department Saturday regarding a burglary of a vehicle. Range spoke with Fernando Bendfeldt who advised he arrived at Sycamore Shoals Hospital at 7:30 a.m. Friday morning and left the hospital at 11:30 a.m. Friday. During that time, Bendfeldt reported his cellular telephone was stolen. The telephone was valued at $120.
* EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe responded Saturday to a reported theft at 1594 Southside Road. Teddy G. Collins advised Crowe that he had parked his red Murray riding lawn mower in a storage building behind his residence on Thursday. He noticed Saturday someone had entered the unlocked building and stolen the lawn mower. Collins stated he had just bought the lawn mower at Wal-Mart. The lawn mower was valued at $850.

Theft


* Elizabethton police responded to a theft at Quick Stop Market on West Elk Avenue on Monday. EPD Ptl. Brook Mullins reported a store clerk advised officers that a male subject entered the store and stole three cases of Budweiser beer. The clerk stated the subject entered a dark-colored vehicle. The vehicle left in the direction of Johnson City, according to the clerk.
* Amy S. Carrier reported to CCSD Lt. Bob Hooks on Sunday that a person or persons unknown to her had entered her residence at 116 Creek Side Dr. and taken 19 Oxycontin tablets.
* EPD Ptl. Tonya Range was dispatched to Street's Flea Market on Highway 19-E Saturday regarding a theft. Range spoke with Linda Street who advised a picture had been taken from an individual owner's booth. The owner was not present at the time, and Range returned to the market on Sunday where she spoke to booth owner Karen Waldrop. The victim described the item as a black-and-white picture of the Three Stooges valued at $140. A witness reported to police that two male subjects had taken the photo to a maroon/white Ford Bronco.

Vandalism


* CCSD Sgt. Ken Dugger responded to a reported break-in at 261 Jenkins Hollow Rd. on Friday. Charles D. Dugger reported someone entered his residence on Thursday night. He advised his freezer and home entertainment center were overturned and several items of personal property were broken. Entry was gained through the front door as the door was kicked in, according to the report.
* CCSD Deputy Albert Nave was dispatched to 1541 Broad St. Ext. Apt. 4 during the weekend. Upon arrival, Nave spoke with Rebecca Hill who stated someone had broken into her residence. Nave reported the front door had been pried open and the door casing was damaged. No property was reported missing.
