Arrests

* On Sunday morning at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers were called to Nashville Sound, Roan St., Johnson City, on a report of a fight. A records check on one of the parties involved, Jason L. Ball, 28, Telford, revealed an outstanding warrant from TVA Police for especially aggravated kidnapping. Ball was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He is being held in the Washington County Detention Center pending notification of TVA Police.
   * On Saturday evening, officers with the Johnson City Police Bureau were called to 2801 W. Market St., Johnson City, for burglary to a vehicle. After an investigation, police arrested Russell D. Long, 18, of 149 Faith Circle, Johnson City, and charged him with auto burglary. He is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court today.

Suicide

* On Sunday, an investigation into the death of Joseph E. Mullins, of 250 Lancaster Rd., Kingsport, revealed the death was the result of a self-inflicted gun shot wound that occurred while he was staying in a room at Sleep Inn, 525 Oakland Ave., Johnson City. No foul play was suspected, according to the Johnson City Police Bureau.
