Arrests

   * James E. Warren, 41, 149 Tiger Creek Road, was arrested Tuesday morning by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Richard Haney on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
   * Jason Henry Grindstaff, 19, 214 Rockhouse Road, was arrested Tuesday evening by Carter County Sheriff's Department Lt. Mike Fraley and charged with assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 17.
   * Anthony Lee Grindstaff, 22, 214 Rockhouse Road, was arrested Tuesday evening by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley and charged with assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 17.
   * Jeffery Hardin, 35, 518 Johnson Ave., was arrested Tuesday evening by CCSD Deputy K. Cable on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
   * Heather B. Maze, 21, 576 Hospital Road, Mountain City, was arrested Tuesday evening by CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson and charged with first offense DUI and possession of a legend drug. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 16.
   * Joshua Irick, 18, 127 Dan Cole Road, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by CCSD Constable Bobby Canter on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
   * Robert Andrew Coles, 29, 1700 W. Elk Ave., Apt. 8, was arrested Monday morning by CCSD Deputy Donald White on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
   * Johnathan Brad Tolley, 19, 175 Duck Branch Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Tuesday evening by CCSD Deputy Bradley N. Johnson on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
   * Jeremiah L. Guy, 20, 160 Doland Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday afternoon by CCSD Deputy J. Booher on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
   * Johnson City Police Bureau officers arrested a 14-year-old male in connection with a stolen radio valued at $800 from Science Hill Adult Learning Center. He has been charged with theft of property over $500. According to reports, the juvenile was identified when his voice was heard speaking on the stolen radio. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Johnson City Juvenile Court Dec. 13.
  
Theft


   * Patty Russell, 190 Bunker Hill Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Dean Jones that sometime between Nov. 27 and Nov. 31, someone had stolen a total of five concrete lawn ornaments from 127 Layfayette Road, her former residence. She then reported that sometime between Dec. 6 and Dec. 8, someone again entered the property and stole several items including a red Craftsman toolbox, two ladders, a Dewalt drill, a blue 10-speed bicycle, an exercise bicycle, a Lowe's riding lawnmower and some lawn tools.
   * Benjamin Eli Smith and Christopher Stephen Byrd, Webb Hall, Milligan College, reported to EPD Ptl. Jennifer Mayberry that someone had entered their residence hall room and had stolen approximately 20 DVD movies, an XBox gaming system and approximately $180 in cash. They advised the officer that they suspected three male subjects known to them.
   * Connie Calandros, 143 Winchester Road, Johnson City, reported to CCSD Deputy Eric Buck that on Dec. 5, someone entered her home and stole several Christmas presents from the residence including a Norelco electric razor, two small lamps and some clothing.
   * Justin Barnett, 101 Burbank Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Tim Tester that someone had stolen a one-ton, 10-foot flat bed truck belonging to him. The truck was later found by Barnett in the Cove Creek community.
   * Kara D. Benge, 175 Ollie Collins Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that someone had stolen a Seiko wristwatch valued at approximately $500 from her residence. She reported that she suspects a male subject known to her.
   * Calvin Smith, 271 Rocky Branch Road, reported to EPD Ptl. John Ramsey that sometime in the early morning hours on Tuesday while his company van was parked outside a residence at 657 Jena Beth Drive where he had spent the night, someone entered the vehicle and stole more than $250 in cash and a Milwaukee Supersaw reciprocating saw valued at $300.
  
Vandalism


   * Kimberly Weaver, 225 Swimming Pool Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that someone had vandalized her 2000 Jeep Wrangler while it was parked at her residence and had stolen approximately 48 compact discs. According to reports, the vehicle had a turn light lens broken as well as cuts to the vehicle's body.
   * Alvin Bennett, 340 Lovers Lane, Lot 22, reported to CCSD Deputy Jeff Moreland on Tuesday that sometime during the previous night, someone had cut the left rear tire on his truck, which was parked at the residence.
  
Fire


   * A home belonging to Warren MacDeff, 171 Log Cabin Road, Roan Mountain, caught fire and was destroyed Sunday along with many of its contents. MacDeff reported to CCSD Deputy Al Meehan that he had built a fire in the fireplace and that it had apparently caught the back wall on fire.
   * A mobile home at 170 Dalewood Drive, Johnson City, and belonging to Roy Arp caught fire on Saturday evening. The home was a total loss along with the contents. According to reports, the fire is believed to have been caused by a cigarette catching a chair on fire.

* John Johnson, 2110 Gap Creek Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that on the afternoon of Dec. 6, someone fired a shot into his home. No one was injured in the incident.
