Arrests

   * Wendy Denise Lowe, 25, 2441 U.S. Highway 91, was arrested late Friday morning by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy J. Booher on a warrant for violation of probation.
   * Angela Renee Potter, 24, 343 Sims Hill Road, was arrested Saturday evening by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett and charged with second offense driving on a suspended license. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 23.
   * Christopher Robert Bowers, 30, 132 Dan Bowers Road, was arrested early Sunday morning by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy on two outstanding warrants -- one for failure to appear and the other for violation of probation.
   * Jeffery Lynn Graham, 24, was arrested Sunday afternoon by CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson on an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault. Once he was transported to the Carter County Jail, he was served with two capias warrants for failure to appear. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 10.
   * Alexandro Cavazos, 32, 1204 Gray Station Road, Jonesborough, was arrested Sunday evening by CCSD Deputy Al Meehan, and was charged with driving without a license and violation of financial responsibility. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 20.
   * Edward Lee Garland, 25, 118 Guy St, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Constable Bobby Canter on a warrant for failure to appear.
   * James Harley Byington, Jr., 40, 1600 Mullins Road, Whitesburg, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Constable Willie C. Mathes and charged with fourth offense DUI and violation of the implied consent law.
   * Russell Lee Brendel, 21, 816 Virginia Ave., was arrested Saturday night by Elizabethton Police Department Sgt. Roger Crowe and charged with possession of Schedule VI narcotics in a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying weapons on school property.
   * Robert B. Hammett, 50, 140 Jackson Ave., was arrested Friday night by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters and charged with DUI and driving on a revoked license.
   * Isaias Salas Herrera, 38, 301 S. Sycamore St., was arrested Sunday night by EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe and charged with second offense DUI, driving without a license, evading arrest, resisting arrest, open container and violation of implied consent.
   * James D. Bass, 40, 202 S. Sycamore St., Apt. 1, was arrested Saturday afternoon by EPD Ptl. Michael Merritt on an outstanding warrant out of Sullivan County for failure to appear.
  
Thefts


   * George H. Hodges, 7001 Chadwick Farms Drive, Charlotte, N.C., reported to EPD Ptl. Brooke Mullins that someone had broken into his motorhome while it was parked behind the Mayflower restaurant, Betsy Town Shopping Center, sometime on Thursday or Friday. He reported that a 19-inch Emerson color television was stolen as well as a combination DVD player/VCR. He reported that all four hubcaps had been stolen as well.
   * David Holben, 2843 South Roan St., Johnson City, reported to CCSD Lt. Harvey Guess that on Friday, someone broke into his outbuilding and stole a Weedeater brand leaf blower valued at $100 and a Stihl brand chainsaw valued at $280.
  
Fire


   * A house belonging to James and Rose Tolley, 168 Veryl St., Hampton, caught fire on Sunday. The Hampton and Roan Mountain Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call as well as officers from the CCSD. Mr. and Mrs. Tolley were out of town at the time. The cause of the fire is still not known.
