Arrests

   * Molly K. Clawson, 30, 449 Bear Branch Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Wednesday morning by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy M. Carlock and charged with possession of Schedule VI narcotics and she was also served a capias warrant out of General Sessions Court for theft under $500. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 6.
   * Rodney Charles Peterson, 41, 1011 Long St., Johnson City, was arrested late Wednesday morning by CCSD Sgt. Ken Dugger and charged with contempt of court as ordered by Judge Jean Stanley.
   * Arthur A. Hawkins II, 23, 3711 North Place Apartments, B-9, Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday night by Johnson City Police Department MPSO Anthony Grillo and charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession for resale. He was also served with a presentment out of Washington County Criminal Court for possession of Schedule II narcotics.
   * Marie Zandt, 18, 2471 Lakewood Village, Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday night by JCPD Inv. Frank Peters and charged with theft of property over $10,000, nine counts of theft of property under $500 and nine counts of forgery. The charges result from an investigation into the theft of a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Greystoke Chevrolet, 3606 Bristol Highway, Johnson City, and the illegal use of a bank card where a total of $2,332 was taken from Oct. 16-25.
   * Jorge Perez Estrada, no age or address available, was arrested Wednesday at the Volusia County Jail in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he was being held after being arrested on Nov. 26 on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. At an extradition hearing on Nov. 29, he waived extradition and agreed to be transported back to Johnson City where he faces charges of vehicular homicide, felony reckless endangerment, felony evading arrest, possession of unlawful weapons, leaving the scene of an accident involving death and driving on a revoked license.
  

Theft


   * Johnny Odom, 162 Blue Grass Road, Roan Mountain, reported to Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Richard Haney that sometime between 6-7:15 p.m., someone entered his car while it was parked at Wal-Mart and stole two coats, valued at a total of $192.
  

Armed robbery


  
* The Sullivan County Sheriff's Department responded to an armed robbery call Wednesday night at the Food Country on Highway 126 in Blountville. Employees of the store reported to officers that a white male about six feet, four inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, reported to be wearing a rubber mask with gray hair, beard and mustache as well as a medium length green coat with a hood, left the scene in a dark colored, possibly brown, SUV type vehicle. Anyone having information related to this case is asked to call SCSD Det. Tommy Arnold at 279-7506 or 224-1753. It was reported by local authorities that the same suspect and vehicle were involved in two armed robberies on that same date at two grocery stores in Greeneville.
  

Runaway child


  
* Kathy Marie Ollis, 1433 Carr Road, Watauga, reported to CCSD Deputy Janice Black that her daughter, Melissa Louise Ollis, 14, had run away from home. According to the mother, her daughter got on the school bus Thursday morning to go to school and never came home. Mrs. Ollis stated to the officer that this is the fourth time her daughter has run away.
