Arrests

   * Stephen Shane Bateman, 22, 152 Webb Hollow Loop, was arrested Monday night by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Richard Haney and charged with public intoxication.
   * Daniel L. Cook, 51, 431 W. G St., Apt. 10, was arrested Monday morning by EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe on two capias warrants for failure to appear.
   * Chad Dwight Street, 19, 140 Rex Harrel Road, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Carter County Sheriff's Department Inv. Chris Pierce and charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism over $500.
   * Kala Renee Buchanan, 19, 108 E. H St., was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson on a warrant charging her with failure to appear.
   * Gary Lynn Whitson, 31, 190 Walter Stevens Road, Hampton, was arrested Monday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson and charged with driving on a revoked license and speeding. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Dec. 10.
   * Alfonzo R. Garcia, 129 Banner Road, was arrested Monday morning by CCSD Deputy Janice Black and charged with violation of probation.
   * Bobby E. Fillers, 26, 142 Pierce Wild Road, Jonesborough, was arrested Monday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy on an outstanding pro corpus attachment.
   * Marcus Gabreal Prather, 23, 315 Wilson Ave., was arrested early Tuesday morning by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland and charged with public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Dec. 9.

  
Thefts


   * Calvin C. Jones, Highway 19E S, reported to CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson that on Monday, someone entered his home and stole two kerosene heaters, a stereo, an RCA television and two boxes of personal papers. He stated that he suspects a subject that is known to him. The estimated value of the property that was stolen is $400.
   * Lester Odom, 900 Gap Creek Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that sometime between Nov. 20-25, someone had broken into his camper on property that he owns on Buck Branch Road, Roan Mountain, and stole two chainsaws valued at a total of $300. Odom reported to police that he suspects a subject that is known to him.
   * Jimmy Alan Loyd, 2105 North Greenwood Drive, Apt. 84, Johnson City, reported to EPD Ptl. Jennifer Mayberry that someone had entered a residence owned by him at 123 Reeser Road, and had stolen two television sets and a portable compact disc player. He reported that he suspects two subjects known to him.
  

Fire


  
* Walter D. Vines, 242 Whaleytown Road, Butler, reported to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that he had driven his 1989 Ford Mustang and returned to his residence, leaving the car running to clean out a place in his garage to store the vehicle for winter. He stated that while he was in the garage he heard the engine stop running. When he looked, he saw flames coming from under the hood. He stated that he had not driven the car in two or three months. Elk Mills - Poga Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call, but the vehicle was a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
