Arrests

   * Scotty Joe Johnson, 20, 1171 Falls Branch Road, Mountain City, was arrested Thursday evening by Carter County Sheriff's Department Investigator Audrey Covington and charged with forgery.
   * Roger Dale Bolin, 43, 705 Poplar Street, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD officer Al Meehan and charged with violation of probation.
   * Kathy Jo Morton, 27, 3115 Gap Creek Road, Hampton, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Tim Tester and charged with violation of probation.
   * Todd Lee Hicks, 25, 527 Laurels Road, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Tim Tester on an outstanding warrant.
   * Shannon Scott Guinn, 20, 118 Spears Avenue, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett on a warrant out of General Sessions Court for violation of probation.
   * Alejandro A. Candelas, 18, 126 Dennis Cove Road, Apt. C, Hampton, was arrested Thursday morning by CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett and charged with driving while intoxicated, violation of implied consent and violation of the open container law.
   * William Dewey Turbyfill, Jr., 35, 200 River Road, Elk Park, N.C., was arrested Thursday night by CCSD officer Harvey Shaffer and charged with second offense DUI, second offense driving on a revoked license, criminal impersonation and violation of implied consent.
   * Arthur T. Bowling, 34, 233 W. Elk Ave., Apt. 1, was arrested Thursday night by Elizabethton Police Department officers and charged with aggravated DUI.
   * Troy Emore, 23, 261 Marion Branch Road, Hampton, was arrested early Friday morning by EPD officers and charged with DUI.
   * Vickie Denise Hall, 33, 136 S. Broadway, Johnson City, was arrested early Friday morning by EPD Ptl. Richard Haney and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, speeding, possession of schedule VI narcotics, possession of schedule II narcotics, violation of implied consent and possession of paraphernalia.
   * Grant J. McDaniel, 27, 1005 Siam Road, was arrested Saturday morning by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson and charged with reckless endangerment and violation of driver license endorsement.
   * Melvin L. Miller, 49, 1472 Highway 91, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Dean Jones and Sgt. Patrick Johnson and charged with reckless endangerment with a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm.
   * Wendy Denise Lowe, 35, 2441 Highway 91, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Dean Jones and Sgt. Patrick Johnson and charged with two counts of vandalism.
   * Robert Hammet, 50, 140 Jackson Avenue, was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy and charged with third offense DUI and second offense driving on a revoked license.
   * Allen D. Peters, 53, 122 Ed Stout Road, Hampton, was arrested Friday morning by CCSD officer Shannon Deloach and charged with aggravated assault.
   * Joshua Alvin Trotter, 30, 601 W. G Street, was arrested Friday afternoon by CCSD officers and charged with evading arrest and public intoxication.
   * Crystal Byrd, 21, no address available, was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy and charged with public intoxication.
   * Brandy N. Gobble, 21, 183 Bill Nave Loop, was arrested by Constable Harvey Shaffer on a capias warrant out of General Sessions Court.
   * Rickey D. Fair, 48, 102 Riverview Avenue, Watauga, was arrested early Friday morning by EPD Ptl. John Ramsey and charged with DUI.
  
Animal Cruelty

  
* Ken Karleson, 504 Gabriel's Landing Road, Butler, reported to CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett that on Nov. 4, he discovered that someone had shot his dog near a wooded area on his property. Karleson told Cornett that he had seen hunters in the area and feels that one of them may have shot his dog.
  
Traffic Fatality

  
* A single-vehicle accident that occurred Friday morning on Greenwood Drive left one man killed and one man wanted by Johnson City Police. According to reports, Jorge P. Estrada, 30, was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash and then fled on foot. Charges have been filed against him for vehicular homicide. Efforts to locate Estrada have been unsuccessful. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5'6" tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. If anyone has any information as to Estrada's whereabouts, please call 434-6158.
