Theft

  
* Elizabethton Police Officer Jason McCall was dispatched to the department office on Thursday in reference to a theft. On arrival, McCall spoke with Monica Kaye Sullivan who stated that her purse was stolen while she was at the Winn-Dixie on Hudson Drive. Sullivan said that while she was putting her groceries inside her vehicle, her purse was in the shopping cart. When she went to put the cart away, she reported that her purse was missing. The purse was described as leather, tan in color. The purse contained some cosmetics, a cellular telephone and five prescriptions. There were no known witnesses or suspects.
   * Donna Ott reported to Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Janice Black on Thursday that the license tag off her pickup truck had been lost or stolen sometime this week. She advised Black that she had washed the truck on Oct. 8 and the tag was affixed to the truck at that time.
   * EPD Officer Mike McIntosh was dispatched to Lewis Service Station on West G Street Thursday in reference to a burglary. On arrival, McIntosh spoke with Dana Lewis who advised the he arrived at the service station at 9 a.m. Thursday and found someone had entered the building. Lewis reported that the cigarette vending machine had been broken into and money was taken from the coin box. Lewis stated that his father owned the business. McIntosh reported observing entry had been made to the building by busting a wooden panel out of a garage door on the east side of the building. Damage to the garage door was estimated at $400. Damage to the vending machine was estimated at $300. Approximately $40 in coins was reportedly taken.
  
Arrests


   * Wade Evan Hampton, 540 Cloudland Drive, Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday by Carter County Sheriff's Department on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on charges of burglary and theft under $500.
   * Lance E. Forbes, 29, 1831 Woodhaven Drive, was arrested Thursday by EPD Officer Matthew Bailey on a charge of public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 14.
   * Daniel Eugene Rexrode, 40, 369 Garrison Hollow Road #5, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm on a charge of disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 15.
   * Bobby J. Clark, 51, 90 Calley Lane, Scottsboro, Ala., was arrested Thursday by EPD Officer Mike McIntosh on charges of driving under the influence, 1st offense, and possession of stolen property. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 25.
   * Alvin Delaney Clawson, 31, 317 Bear Branch Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Lt. Harvey Guess on a capias issued for failure to appear on charges of driving on a suspended license, 2nd offense and vandalism. He was also charged with being a fugitive from justice.
   * Chad Boster, 24, Summit Avenue, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on charges of failure to appear for violation of probation and violation of probation. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 15.
   * Joshua D. James, 19, 342 Dalewood Drive, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on a charge of violation of probation.
   * Officers of the Johnson City Police Bureau on Thursday arrested Adam M. Hensley, 28, 1602 W. Lakeview Drive, on eleven counts of forgery. Hensley was arrested after an investigation into several forgeries that occurred in Johnson City over the past two months. Hensley was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $3,000 bond.
