Arrests

   *
Harold Rose, Jr., 39, 402 W. Pine Street, Johnson City, was arrested Monday, Sept. 30, by Carter County Sheriff's Department officer Fred Sluder on a charge of violation of probation.
   *
Charles Adonga Gardner, 24, 1701 Oak Street, was arrested Wednesday by CCSD officer Fred Sluder on charges of failure to appear for driving on a suspended license, evading arrest, and destruction of county property.
   * Mary M. Ferguson, 19, 114 Vanover Road, Johnson City, was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on charges of public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and allowing an unlicensed driver to drive a vehicle.
   * Gregory Lee Tressler, 33, 340 Lovers Lane, was arrested Thursday by CCSD officer Jim Whaley on charges of failure to appear for driving on a revoked license and theft over $500.
   *
Joseph Alexander Belovary, 22, 149 Mill Pond Road Lot #7, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett on a charge of violation of probation.
   * Timothy Dale Arnold, 41, 197 Carl Smith road Trl. #3, was arrested Thursday by CCSD officer Bradley N. Johnson on a charge of assault under domestic violence.
   * Terry E. Morris, 43, 275 Rocky Branch Road, was arrested Friday by CCSD officer Tim Tester on charges of violation of probation and on a capias for failure to appear.
   * Joseph Mark Wilson, 20, 207 W. Mill Street, was arrested Friday by CCSD officer Jim Whaley on a DUI charge.
   * Henry Albert Anna, 29, 201 Swimming Pool Road, Hampton, was arrested Friday by CCSD officer Randy Buck on an attachment pro corps out of juvenile court for $14,000 of unpaid child support.
   * Matthew Wayne Caldwell, 19, 120 Reecer Road #43, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on charges of driving on a revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and following too closely.
   * Richard Aaron Wells, 29, 639 South Roan Street, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on a charge of violation of probation.
   * Barry Franklin Eakins, 37, 1320 Charity Hill Road, was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Fraley T. Hamm on charges of public intoxication and possession of a Schedule VI drug.
   * Roxie Ann Bridgeman, 20, 1146 Rittertown Road, Hampton, was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley and Deputy Todd Hamm on a charge of driving on a suspended license.
   * Troy Ray Hughes, 26, 257 Heaton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Fraley and Deputy Todd Hamm on charges of second offense DUI and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
   * Malcolm L. Strickland, 21, 116 W. Walnut Street, Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Sgt. Keith Range on charges of a second offense DUI, driving on a revoked license, failure to maintain proof of insurance, and violation of the implied consent law.
   * Henry Lynn Moore, 51, 110 Pine Street, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Randy Buck on a charge of public intoxication.
   * Jerry D. Hodge, 40, 102 Heather Lane, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Dave Ryan on a charge of assault under domestic violence.
   * Lersa Diane Hodge, 40, 102 Heather Lane, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Al Meehan on a charge of assault under domestic violence.
   * Benny Franklin Burton, 53, 337 Old Milligan Hwy. Apt. #9, Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Lt. Hamm on a charge of public intoxication.
   * Kenneth David Fields, 52, 278 Rockhouse Road, Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Randy Buck on a charge of disorderly conduct under domestic violence.
   * William Joey Perkins, 26, 197 Browns Branch Road, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Donald White on a charge of violation of probation.
   * Rebecca Gaye Estep, 28, P.O. Box 1286, Elizabethton, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Donald White on a charge of violation of probation.
   * Cheryl Lynn Harrison, 24, Old Watauga Road, was arrested Saturday by CCSD officer Donald White on a charge of violation of probation.
   * Alfonso Rodrigo Garcia III, 20, 129 Banner Street, Erwin, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Todd Hamm on charges of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  
Child Neglect

  
* Shirley Faye Davis, 29, 122 Waycaster Road, Hampton, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on charges of aggravated child neglect.
  
Burglary

  
* On Saturday, CCSD Lt. B.L. Huffman responded to Davis Hollow Road in reference to a break-in. Upon arrival, Huffman found the front door of 104 Davis Hollow Road had been busted as well as the storm door. April Lipford advised Huffman that someone had entered the home and had taken her 27 inch television, turned over a dresser, and stepped on her jewelry box.

Theft/Vandalism

   *
CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett on Friday responded to a call in the Milligan area regarding several mailboxes that had been vandalized.
  
* CCSD officer Shannon Deloach on Friday responded to 123 Whittamore Road, Hampton, in reference to theft/vandalism. Tina Ellis informed Deloach that someone had busted a window and stolen the radio out of her brother's vehicle.
   * On Friday, Shane Lewis advised CCSD officer Bobby Trivett that someone had slashed both tires on the driver's side of his vehicle while it was parked at Shirley's Restaurant. Lewis stated a blue and white Ford pulled away from the scene.
   * On Friday, Billy Ray Hodge, 162 Vaughn Road, Hampton, advised CCSD officer Al Meehan that he discovered $700 in cash missing from his dining room china cabinet.
  

Shoplifting

   *
Peggy Ann Cullop, 48, 903 Walker Street, was issued a summons on Saturday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Richard Haney on charges of shoplifting. According to the report, a loss prevention employee at Walmart told Haney that Cullop was observed trying to steal a ring valued at $8.88. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Nov. 25.
   * On Saturday, EPD Ptl. Brooke Mullins was dispatched to Food City grocery store, 920 Broad Street, in reference to a shoplifting incident. Food City manager, Jason Hendrickson, advised Mullins that two men had left the store with a cart full of items and failed to pay for them. Employees tried to stop the men, but the men quickly loaded a vehicle and left the scene.
  
Driving Without a License

   *
Shane Williams, 26, 166 Stockyard Road, Telford, was issued a summons on Sunday by EPD Ptl. Brooke Mullins on charges of driving on a revoked license. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court Oct. 11.
  
Fire

   *
CCSD Lt. Fraley T. Hamm on Saturday responded to a vehicle fire on northbound U.S. Highway 19E. Lynn Trivette advised Hamm that she pulled off the highway after smoke started coming out of the hood of her vehicle. The smoke turned into flames, and members of the Hampton Fire Department extinguished the fire but not before the entire interior of the vehicle was destroyed.
   * On Sunday, CCSD Deputy Todd Hamm responded to a barn fire across from 147 Heaton Ridge Road. Mike Street advised Hamm that due to the intense heat he was unable to get inside the barn to release the animals. One hog escaped the barn. However, two calves, one cow, one bull, and two hogs were killed and the barn was completely destroyed. Roan Mountain, Hampton, and Elk Park volunteer fire departments responded and extinguished what was left of the structure.
  
Fugitive from Justice


   *
Allen Taylor, 30, address unknown, was arrested Friday by CCSD officer Donald White on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice in Dallam County, Texas.
  
Animal Cruelty

   *
Eugene Edney, 67, 193 River Road, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on charges of animal cruelty. Edney's neighbor, Everett Schramm, advised Markland that Edney had a kitten locked in a pet carrier in his backyard that had been crying for days. Upon investigation, it was discovered that, in addition to the kitten, five puppies and two adult dogs were either chained or caged in the yard and were in poor health and without food and water. One of the adult dogs also had lacerations on the left side of its body.
   * On Saturday, CCSD Deputy Todd Hamm, responded to 413 Peach Tree Lane, where he was informed that a dog wandering the neighborhood because his owners abandoned him had been poisoned. Hamm contacted Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Rescue who examined the dog. The dog was not expected to survive.
