Theft


   * Lt. Harvey Guess of the Carter County Sheriff's Department responded to 2475 Highway 91 on Saturday in reference to the theft of a vehicle. On arrival, Guess spoke with Terry L. Carver who advised he saw his 1980 Chevy Malibu parked outside his residence around midnight the previous evening, but the vehicle was gone on Saturday. He stated he must have left the keys in the ignition of the vehicle. The Malibu was described as having Corvette rally wheels, red in color with chrome center caps.
  
Burglary

   * On Friday, CCSD Sgt. Tim Lowe spoke with Helen Hardin who complained that sometime Friday someone had entered her residence at 102 Sunquest Drive and taken some items. She reported two small figurines and two picture frames that were on the mantle above the fireplace were gone. The residence had been unlocked during the day, she advised.
  
Arrests

   * Jeff Alvin Ingram, 33, no address available, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Lt. Harvey Guess on a charge of public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 7.
   * Ronnie Lee Whitehead, 44, 318 Tower Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm on charges of driving under the influence, 9th offense, driving on a revoked license, 4th offense, and violation of the registration law. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 4.
   * Robert Larry South, 20, no address available, was arrested Friday by CCSD Investigator Laverne Julian on charges of aggravated burglary and theft under $500. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Monday.
   * Johnson City Police Department officers on Saturday arrested Betty J. Maggart, 59, 310 Peach Blossom Court, and charged her with two counts of aggravated assault as a result of an investigation of a shooting incident. Ms. Maggart is being held at the Washington County Dentention Center on $10,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court, Johnson City, on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
