Arrests

   * Amy Trish Campbell, 18, 126 Coney Island, was arrested Friday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Loretta Cloyd after she was observed at Unaka High School sitting on top of her vehicle waving around a ball bat after being told to leave school property. She was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing.
   * Jackie Lynn Proffitt, 40, 142 White Road, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones for public intoxication.
   * Alexandro Cavazos, 32, 1101 Johnson Loop Road, Erwin, was arrested Saturday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Jennifer Mayberry and charged with DUI and violation of implied consent.
   * Rebecca Gaye Estep, 28, 204 Little Stoney Creek, and Richard Allen Stout, 24, 405 H. Heaton Road, were arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Jason Shaw and EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters following a traffic stop on Siam Road. Estep was charged with driving on a revoked license and Stout was charged with violation of probation. During inventory of the vehicle, Ptl. Peters found six syringes in Estep's purse, five in the glove box along with a pipe containing what was believed to be marijuana residue. Also found was a pill bottle containing a clear liquid solution which tested positive for morphine, a Schedule II narcotic. Estep additionally was charged with possession of Schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
   * Thomas Stewart, 27, 111 Earl Ave., was arrested Thursday by EPD Ptl. Jason Shaw following a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Stewart was charged with driving on a suspended license, following too close, and failure to provide proof of insurance.
   * Jason Thomas Lilley, 26, 456 Dalewood Drive, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by EPD Ptl. Jason McCall and charged with a second-offense for driving on a suspended license.
   * Jeffery Lynn Sexton, 38, 277 Ford Town Road, Fall Branch, was arrested Friday by EPD Ptl. Jason Shaw after officers responded to a call about a fight at Wal-Mart. Sexton was charged with two counts of assault and was issued a criminal summons for shoplifting. He was transported to the Carter County Jail. Because officers detected methamphetamine on Sexton, they later searched his vehicle and found large amounts of over-the-counter amphetamines. Officers advised that Sexton would be charged with possession due to the quantity of the drugs, some of which had been stolen.
   * Randy Dale Odom, 34, 932 Pine Ridge Circle, was arrested Monday by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy and charged with assault/intimidation.
   * Larry Shane Presnell, 28, 917 Elliott St., was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters following a traffic stop and charged with failure to appear in court and DUI.
   * Steven L. Scott, 51, 2287 Dave Buck Road, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by EPD Ptl. Mike Merritt after the officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on State Route 91. Scott was charged with driving on a suspended license, failure to yield, and violation of financial responsibility law.
