Arrests

   * Gregory Mark Reed, 36, 1120 Bristol Highway, was arrested Wednesday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeff Markland on an attachment for contempt issued out of Juvenile Court.
   * Benny Franklin Burton, 54, 337 Old Milligan Highway, Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on a charge of public intoxication.
   * Jonathon Wade Crosswhite, 37, 304 Bill Nave Loop, was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Donald White on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Leland B. Moore, 48, 311 Blevins Hollow Road, was arrested by Elizabethton Police Officer Michael Merritt on charges of driving under the influence, fifth offense, and violation of the open container law. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Sept. 13.
   * Monte L. Nidiffer, 36, 167 Southside Road, was arrested Tuesday by EPD Officer John Ramsey on a charge of public intoxication.
   * Christopher Ross Gill, 30, 303 S. View Circle, Apt. B, was arrested by EPD Officer Jason Shaw on a warrant charging him with theft over $500. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Sept. 13.
   * Holly A. Grass, 18, 303 South View Circle, Apt. B, was arrested by EPD Officer Jason Shaw on a warrant charging her with theft over $500. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Sept. 13.
   * Britt Jesse Armstrong, 201 Williams Ave., was arrested Tuesday by EPD Officer Jason McCall on a warrant charging him with violation of probation. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Sept. 13.
   * David Kelly Tanner, 20, 2114 Dave Buck Road, Johnson City, was arrested Wednesday by EPD Officer Jason McCall on a capias for burglary and theft under $500. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Sept. 13.
  
Break-ins

   * CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland spoke with Diane Phillips who reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday, someone pried open her back door with some kind of tool. Nothing was found to be missing from the home at the time of the report.
   * EPD Officer Kevin Cable met with Larry D. Buchanan at the police department. Buchanan advised that sometime between 10 p.m. Sept. 4, and 5 p.m. Sept. 5, unknown perpetrator(s) entered his 225 Beasley Street residence and stole $300 in cash. He advised that he was transported to Sycamore Shoals Hospital by the Carter County Rescue Squad on Sept. 4 and was released the following day. He said the residence had been unlocked and no forced entry was reported.
   * EPD Officer Jason McCall was dispatched to the CCSD in reference to an attempted auto burglary. On arrival, McCall spoke with Lois Ann Smith who stated someone had attempted to break in to her Nissan Sentra. She advised there was a piece of chrome trim someone had tried to remove near the driver's side window. She stated she had gone into the Justice Center building and returned five minutes later. Entry was not made to the vehicle and nothing was missing.
  
Pursuit


   * CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson was dispatched to assist the Carter County Rescue Squad's Medic 2 unit. The unit alerted Johnson that a vehicle had passed their vehicle on the double yellow lines and nearly struck two vehicles while traveling on Highway 19E in Roan Mountain.
  
Vandalism

   * EPD Officer Brooke Mullins was dispatched to 910 Tipton Street on Tuesday in response to a report of a vandalized vehicle. On arrival, police spoke with Kristina Bond who stated she had been asleep when a loud noise work her up. She stated that she went to her window and saw the car windows of her Ford Mustang had been busted out. Officers reported the driver's window and back window of the vehicle had been smashed, but did not find any objects that caused the damage.

Theft

   * Joanna Davis advised CCSD Deputy Jim Whaley that sometime between midnight and 3 a.m. Tuesday, person(s) unknown had removed a 2000 Polini motorcycle from her residence on Taylortown Road. The motorcycle is valued at $2,200. The motorcycle was described as white and blue with a blue seat, white front plate and blue grips.
   * On Tuesday, EPD Officer Joey Proffitt spoke with Kathy Dula who stated that sometime between 1 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., someone stole the JVC car radio out of her son's car while it was parked at her 631 Woodland Drive residence. A box speaker was also reported stolen from the rear of the car. Her son, Mark Dula, reported that he left his Toyota unlocked. Kathy Dula reported her Honda Accord had also been gone through, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
   * CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett spoke with Mark Grindstaff on Tuesday who advised that two weeks ago a male subject known to him came to his residence on Lancelot Drive to test drive a Mercury XR4 and never returned with the car. Grindstaff advised he saw the subject after that and the male subject ran from him and he wants the vehicle reported stolen.
   * CCSD Deputy Eric Buck was dispatched to 226 Rockhouse Road on Tuesday. On arrival, he spoke with Sarah Rodifer who stated that someone had stolen a 600 watt Sony amplifier and a pair of num-chucks from her Nissan. Rodifer advised the incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday.
