* Johnny Ray Berry, 58, 1218 Bluefield Avenue,
was arrested Friday by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Deputy Tom Skeans on a warrant charging him with theft under
$500 following a shoplifting incident at Wal-Mart. He also
was charged by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Mike McIntosh
with criminal impersonation and was served a capias for failure
to appear in Washington County Court on a charge of theft
* Sheila M. Greer, 41, 141 Centerview Drive,
was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Johnny Miller on a warrant
charging her with violation of probation on a charge of DUI.
* Kenneth Wayne Jacobs, 32, 101 Gracie Lane,
Hampton, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy David Ryan on
a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Millard E. Phipps Jr., 44, 405 Brandon Street,
was arrested Friday by Constable Bobby Canter and charged
* Joshua Lee Brown, 18, 234 Panhandle Road, was
arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. Harvey Guess and charged with
underage consumption of alcohol.
* Jonathon Hawk, 29, 203 Mayfield Drive, was
arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Eric Buck on a warrant charging
him with violation of probation. Hawk was found hiding in
a closet at the residence.
* Raymon Orvil Hopkins, 54, 526 Sink Valley Road,
Butler, was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Joey Proffitt after
the officer was made aware of a brown truck traveling on West
Elk Avenue with two right-side flat tires. The officer located
the vehicle sitting in the roadway, blocking one lane. Hopkins
was charged with DUI and violation of implied consent.
* William Bruce Arrowood, 23, 1101 Johnson Loop,
Unicoi, was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Jason McCall after
the officer investigated a call from White's Fresh Foods on
Stateline Road regarding a male subject stealing beer. The
officer located Arrowood in the parking lot, in the driver's
seat of a white Chevrolet Cavalier. Three open beers were
observed under the dash. When asked for identification, Arrowood
told the officer he didn't have any and gave the officer a
false name. Following a series of field sobriety tasks Arrowood
was charged with DUI and escorted to Carter County Jail where
he was positively identified. The officer searched the back
seat of his patrol car after transporting Arrowood to jail
and found a silver metal pipe that appeared to contain marijuana
residue. The pipe was not in the unit prior to the officer
beginning his shift. Arrowood additionally was charged with
violation of open container, no drivers license, criminal
impersonation, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also
was served a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
* Richard L. Greenwell, 21, 614 Garrison Hollow
Road, was issued citations Saturday by EPD Ptl. Jason McCall
charging Greenwell with violation of the light law and violation
of registration. He also was issued a summons for failure
to provide proof of financial responsibility.
* Nathan Bowers, 43, 122 Dan Bowers Road, was
arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Joey Proffitt and charged with
simple assault. He also was served a warrant charging him
with violation of probation, two summons for failure to pay
fines, and one for the reading of habitual motor offender.
* James Wade Campbell, 21, 189 Norman Joines
Road, was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Jesus Pena on a warrant
charging him with violation of probation.
* Kimberly Y. Wise, 42, 604 Siam Road, was arrested
Monday by EPD Ptl. Jason McCall after the officer responded
to a domestic disturbance at the residence. Wise was charged
with assault and vandalism under domestic violence.
* Billy Joe Simerly, 33, 330 Cedar Avenue, was
issued a summons Saturday by EPD Ptl. Jason McCall charging
him with harassment.
* Cecil D. George, 47, 24 Main Street, Finch,
Ontario, was issued citations Friday by EPD Ptl. Mike Merritt
following investigation into a motor vehicle collision on
Broad Street. George was charged with following too closely
and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
