Property damage

   * Louie Green, 53, 1596 Dennis Cove Road, Hampton, reported Thursday to Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Shannon Deloach that he was having a family get-together when he observed his brother leave the driveway on Green's 1985 International tractor. Green said he did not give his brother permission to take the tractor. Later, Green said he was advised by a neighbor that the tractor had been wrecked at the bottom of the mountain and that his brother had been taken to Unicoi County Hospital.
  
Burglary/theft

   * CCSD Deputy Laverne Julian was dispatched Wednesday to 136 Townson Road regarding a complaint of a previous residential burglary. Bobby Randall Townson, 28, 136 Townson Road, Roan Mountain, reported that he had returned home the previous day and had noticed that the lock on his door had been broken. Townson said that upon checking the residence, he found several medications missing from the kitchen cabinet.
   * Eddie Shell, 52, 112 Howard Lipford Road, reported Thursday to CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson that a relative had come to his house in the early morning, claiming to have been in a wreck. While at the residence, the relative asked Shell for a nerve pill, which he refused to give to them. Later, Shell found that his bottle of OxyContin was missing.
   * Esther Mendez, 34, 3480 Beech Mountain Road, Elk Park, N.C., reported Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Shannon Deloach that she was in the process of moving and had left her 1992 Eagle Talon at 212 Johnson St., Roan Mountain, because it would not start. When she checked the vehicle on Wednesday, she found that the CD player was missing.

Lost property

   * Donald Barrett, 44, 311 Taylor Road, Stanley, N.C., reported Thursday to CCSD Deputy Jim Whaley that while he was traveling on Highway 400 in Carter County and River Road in Washington County, a large seagreen Outcast Cataraft raft blew off the trailer he was hauling it on and could not be found. The raft is valued at $3,000.
