   * Kim Loraine Taylor, 45, 189 Chambers Hollow Rd., was arrested Thursday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeff Markland following an altercation with her 17-year-old daughter. Taylor was charged with assault under domestic violence.
   * Kimberly Dawn Cochran, 27, 180 Hart Rd., Apt. 5, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland on two capiases from General Sessions Court charging her with failure to appear with fines and costs.
   * Kenneth Thompson, 29, 307 W. H St., was arrested Thursday by CCSD Lt. Bobby Huffman and charged with failure to serve jail time.
   * Albert Westley Gardner, 44, and Julie Williams Gardner, 33, both of 912 Pine Ridge Circle, Apt. F, were arrested Thursday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Jason Shaw following a domestic altercation which had been physical. The officer was unable to determine a primary aggressor and charged both with assault under domestic violence.
   * Danny Lee Whitson, 27, 108 Reeser Rd., Apt. 12, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by EPD Ptl. Mike McIntosh. According to the report, Ptl. McIntosh and Capt. Rusty Verran were investigating a possible arson at Ry Marc Plastics Inc., Cherokee Industrial Park, when a warrant check revealed that Whitson was wanted in Washington County on a rape charge. Whitson was turned over to Washington County authorities.

   * Robert Arnett, 42, 8372 Hwy. 19E, Roan Mountain, reported Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that someone had thrown a bowling ball through the window of an old bus which was sitting on his property.

   * Dallas Richardson, 48, 210 Price Rd., Apt. 1, reported Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Loretta Cloyd that someone had taken several items from his residence including 10 bottles of methadone, basketball-, NASCAR-, and baseball cards, a Dale Earnhardt matchbox car, and a book of Mom & Pops baseball cards containing 25 sets. The items were valued at about $5,000, in addition to the medication.
   * Lekisha Roper, 20, 210 Price Rd., Apt. 3, reported Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Loretta Cloyd that someone had taken numerous items from her home, including several pieces of jewelry and a 35-mm camera. Roper's boyfriend said some of his items also were taken from the residence, including a DVD player, PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2 and $117 in cash. The items were valued at $600.
   * Christopher Lynn Hamm, 18, 418 N. Lynn Ave., reported Thursday to EPD Capt. Rusty Verran that someone had entered his Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and removed a Sony PlayStation with remote control, an AC adaptor, six compact discs, and a man's wallet.


   * EPD Ptl. Jack Ramsey responded Friday to 764 Woodland Dr. regarding a death. Carter County EMS personnel advised the officer that they arrived on the scene at 11:48 p.m. and found Charles Terry Proffitt, 55, had died at his residence. Proffitt was found lying in the floor of his den/office, where he apparently had been doing payroll for his business. Death appeared to have been from natural causes.
