Arrests
* Shannon Scott Guinn, 19, 118 Spears Ave., was
arrested Wednesday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy
Terry Blevins on a Criminal Court capias charging him with
failure to appear.
* Tony Reed Hildebrand, 26, 608 Trudy St., was
arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Terry Blevins at Carter
County Jail on a warrant charging him with rape.
* Mary Anna Mrock, 26, 154 Parlier St., Elk Park,
N.C., was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Terry Blevins
at Carter County Jail on a capias charging her with failure
to appear on theft under $500 and assault.
* Crystal Kate Hicks, 24, 154 Parlier St., Elk
Park, N.C., was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Terry Blevins
at Carter County Jail on a capias charging her with failure
to appear with fines and costs on criminal trespassing.
* Gary V. Blackwell, 114 Mountain Ridge Lane,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Brad
Hamm on an indictment from the grand jury charging him with
manufacture of Schedule VI.
* Roy Burton Waller, 44, 521 Dale St., Kingsport,
was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Donald White on a warrant
out of Criminal Court charging him with violation of probation.
* Laura Street, 20, 405 Harmony Circle, Gray,
was arrested Wednesday by Elizabethton Police Department Sgt.
Matt Bailey after the officer responded to Wal-Mart regarding
a report of criminal trespassing and theft. According to loss
prevention personnel, Street was concealing some DVDs in her
pants. She previously had been caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart
in Johnson City and had been banned from all Wal-Mart stores.
She was charged with theft under $500 and criminal trespassing.
* Matthew N. Malantonio, 42, 264 Williams Private
Drive, Apt. 12, Piney Flats, was arrested Wednesday by EPD
Ptl. Tonya Scott after the officer responded to Winn-Dixie
regarding a fight between a male and female. The male had
left the scene and was located a short distance away walking
on the railroad tracks. Malantonio, who had a strong odor
of alcohol about him, was charged with public intoxication.
* Wendy M. Buckingham, 29, 197 Carl Smith Road,
Hampton, was issued a summons Wednesday by EPD Ptl. Brooke
Mullins after officers responded to Wal-Mart. Buckingham was
charged with shoplifting and escorted off the property.
Break-in
* Danny Baird, 272 Cripple Creek Road, reported
Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Jim Whaley that someone had entered
the residence by opening a kitchen window and had removed
several items. They also attempted to enter a safe.
Vandalism
* A clerk at Superfood, 698 Hwy. 91, reported
Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that someone had broken
out the digital window of a Pepsi machine and had poured salt
into the window.
* Betty Burleson, 1316 Piney Flats Road, Watauga,
reported Tuesday to CCSD Deputy Janice Mitchell that someone
had attempted to enter her residence through a basement window.
The officer observed a window screen which had been torn and
removed. The window had been broken from the outside. A towel,
apparently used for breaking the glass, was found outside
the residence.
* Patricia Bogart, 21, 154 Danner Road, reported
Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that someone had thrown
a large concrete yard ornament through the windshield of her
vehicle, which was parked along the roadway outside the residence.
The roof and interior of the car also were damaged.
* Ryan Graham, 20, 543 Nave Hollow Loop, reported
Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Brad Hamm that someone broke the
windshield of his vehicle. Graham also found a side mirror
from a vehicle in his front yard. It appeared that the mirror
had been thrown and hit the windshield.
Theft
* Linda Jones, 46, Brookview Apartments, reported
Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that she left the residence
for a brief time, leaving the door unlocked. While she was
gone, someone went into the residence and removed $465 from
a bag on the kitchen table.
* Melissa Johnson, 351 Mountain View Drive, Hampton,
reported Wednesday to CCSD Deputy Laverne Julian that someone
entered her 1997 Z24 Cavalier and took two bottles of medication
from the console.
