Arrests
* Brian Keith Hartley, 27, 391 Rockhouse Road,
Jonesborough, was arrested Saturday by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Deputy Dave Ryan after officers were dispatched
to Chestnut Lane regarding a fight in progress. Officers observed
Hartley on the ground wrestling with his brother. He had an
odor of alcohol about him, was cursing and telling the officer
that he wanted to fight the law. According to the report,
Hartley had been to his estranged wife's house when trouble
began and his brother was trying to hold him down until officers
arrived. Hartley attempted to hit Deputy Ryan and was taken
to the ground and handcuffed. Constable David Jones attempted
to assist the officer and was kicked in the leg. Hartley was
placed in the cruiser, where he began to kick the doors and
windows and was subdued with a chemical agent. He was charged
with public intoxication, resisting arrest and assault on
an officer.
* Melinda Joy Roll, 32, 613 Clark Drive, Ellenwood,
Ga., was arrested Saturday by CCSD Sgt. Patrick Johnson after
the officer responded to a complaint of an intoxicated female
walking in and out of houses on Loveless Road. When the officer
arrived at 2112 Gap Creek Road, the complainant told the officer
that her family was gathered at the residence due to a death
in the family and that while they were there, Roll came to
the house uninvited and began causing problems. Sgt. Johnson
then went to 107 Loveless Road where the resident told him
that Roll was in his house drunk and he wanted her removed.
Roll, who appeared intoxicated, became uncooperative and had
to be restrained by force. Upon arrival at Carter County Jail,
she became belligerent and was subdued with a chemical agent.
She was charged with public intoxication, criminal trespassing
and resisting arrest.
* Judy Ann Whittaker, 29, 932B Pine Ridge Circle,
was arrested Sunday by CCSD Reserve Deputy Albert Meehan on
a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
* Laura Michelle Greer, 25, 206 Iron St., Johnson
City, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Terry Blevins and
charged with violation of probation.
* Terry Allen Potter, Elk Avenue Bridge, was
arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Terry Blevins and charged with
violation of probation.
* Donald Gene Hammons, 19, 4 Unaka Court, Apt.
1, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Terry
Blevins on a juvenile attachment.
* Carl R. Young, 20, 1005 King Richard Blvd.,
Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones
on a warrant charging him with leaving the scene of an accident
and driving on revoked license.
* Travis Edward Oliver, 20, 110 Betty St., was
arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Jesse Booher and charged with
violation of probation.
* Rachel Jean Stout, 21, 602 Rittertown Road,
Hampton, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Dave Ryan on
a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
* Fallon Lynn Tallent, 20, 1315 Hodges Parkway,
Sevierville, was arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Bradley
Johnson after the officer was dispatched to 147 Spring St.,
Hampton, regarding a vehicle in the driveway with a female
behind the wheel. When asked for identification, Tallent gave
a name other than her own. When the officer ran the tag number,
it came back as a vehicle stolen from Sevier County, where
Tallent was wanted on warrants for theft of vehicle. She was
charged by CCSD with criminal impersonation and second-offense
driving on revoked license.
* Johanathan William Castle, 20, 9 Regency Square,
Johnson City, was arrested Monday by CCSD Deputy Dave Ryan
on outstanding warrants charging him with two counts of assault
under domestic violence.
* Robert Allen Blevins, 29, 145 Grandview Circle,
was arrested Saturday by Elizabethton Police Department Capt.
Clyde Croy following a traffic stop. He was charged with DUI
and submitted to an Intoximeter test at Carter County Jail
resulting in a blood alcohol content of .18 percent.
* Glenn Allen Hopkins, 21, 1294 Bluefield Ave.,
and Julia Ann Roberts, 40, 1298 Bluefield Ave., were arrested
Friday by EPD Detective Greg Workman after Sgt. Charlie Moreland
responded to Northeast Community Credit Union regarding an
attempted forgery. Both were charged with two counts of forgery
and theft of property.
* Gary Shane Perkins, 24, 835 Vaughts Gap Road,
Mountain City, and Kristi Leann Perkins, 19, 1989 Forge Creek
Road, Mountain City, were arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Kevin
Cable following a traffic stop. Gary Perkins was charged with
second-offense driving on revoked license and violation of
open container. Kristi Perkins was charged with public intoxication.
