Arrests
* JCPD Officer Bill Mitchell arrested 45-year-old
Daryl Higdon, 2739 Holly Drive, Sevierville, on Saturday,
March 2, for possession of a weapon, aggravated criminal trespassing
and possession of a stolen handgun. Higdon is currently being
held in the Washington County Jail with a $7,500 bond. A preliminary
hearing in Washington County Sessions Court is set for March
4.
* Kristen Thompson, 21, 1725 Todd Drive, Johnson
City, was arrested by the JCPD on Saturday, March 2, for forgery
and theft. The arrest was the result of an investigation into
the theft of personal checks. Thompson faces charges of six
counts of forgery under $500, and six counts of theft of property
under $500. Ms. Thompson is currently being held at Washington
County Detention Center under a $12,000 bond. An arraignment
date has been set for March 4 in General Sessions Court.
* Travis Edward Oliver, 20, 110 Betty St., Elizabethton,
was arrested on Friday, March 1, by CCSD Officer J. Booher
for violation of probation. The arrest was made at the Carter
County Jail without incident. No bond has been set.
* Donald Gene Hammons, 19, 4 Unaka Court, Apt.
1 Johnson City, was arrested March 1 by CCSD Officer T. Blevins
for pro corpus. The arrest was made without incident at the
Carter County Jail. A court date has been set for March 28
and a bond of $300 has been set.
* Terry Potter, 39, 604 North E. St., Elizabethton,
was arrested Friday, March 1, at the Carter County Jail for
violation of probation. Officer T. Blevins made the arrest
without incident. A court date has been set for Potter for
March 4. No bond has been set.
* Laura Michelle Greer, 25, 206 Iron St., Johnson
City, was arrested Friday, March 1, at the Carter County Jail.
Officer T. Blevins made the arrest without incident. A court
date has been set for May 1. No bond has been set.
