Arrests
* Dustin A. Turner, 18, 1208 Bluefield Ave.,
was arrested Saturday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl.
Shannon Peters and charged with assault under domestic violence.
* Pamela L. Self, 29, 429 W. G St., was issued
a summons Saturday by EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe for failure to
provide proof of insurance.
* William Shane Davis, 20, 1462 Broad St., was
arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters following a traffic
stop. Davis was charged with speeding and driving on suspended
license.
* Joe Steven Coffman, 44, 817 Riverview Drive,
was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Jason McCall and charged with
DUI.
* Donna M. Lawson, 37, 114 Vanover Road, was
arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Jennifer Mayberry on warrants
charging her with forgery and theft.
* Ralph Wayne Whitehead, 27, 401 Rittertown Road,
Hampton, was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters
and charged with public intoxication.
* Darin M. Bordies, 22, 141 Mountain View Circle,
Hampton, was arrested Sunday by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters following
a traffic stop. Bordies was charged with speeding, driving
on suspended license, and possession of Schedule VI.
* Lisa Ann Gibson, 37, 325 Stout Hollow Road,
Hampton, was issued a summons Sunday by EPD Sgt. Brian Fraley
charging her with theft under $500.
* Michael Eugene Stockton, 41, 141 Nuckles Road,
Jonesborough, was arrested Friday by EPD Sgt. Brian Fraley
and charged with public intoxication.
* Shemelle Javon Cousin, 21, 3000 S. Roan St.,
Johnson City, was arrested Friday by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Reserve Deputy Al Meehan and charged with second-offense
driving on suspended license and driving an unregistered vehicle
after he was observed operating a miniature race car/go kart
with no tag on the vehicle on Price Road.
* Angela R. Potter, 23, 162 Brimer Road, Hampton,
was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones on a capias
charging her with failure to appear on driving on revoked
license.
* Cristy M. Pearson, 22, 162 Brimer Road, Hampton,
was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones on a capias
charging her with failure to appear and an attachment pro
corpus.
* Robert Bob Hardin, 25, 169 Ollie Collins Road,
was arrested Sunday following a traffic stop. Hardin was charged
with fourth-offense driving on suspended driver's license.
* Larry Edward Brewer, 33, 17 Chuckey Point,
Chuckey, Tenn., was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Mike Commons
on an attachment for contempt and violation of probation.
* Theresa L. Zamora Flynn, 44, 1182 Old State
Route 34, Jonesborough, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy
Chad Grindstaff on a warrant taken by TBI Agent Shannon Morton
charging her with accessory after the fact/felony escape.
* Becky Lou Roberts, 29, 579 Overlook Drive,
Chilhowie, Va., was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Fred Sluder
on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
* Freddie Lee Charlton, 40, 1275 Bluefield Ave.,
was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Fred Sluder on a warrant
charging him with violation of probation.
* Ralph Wayne Whitehead, 27, was arrested Friday
by CCSD Deputy Chad Grindstaff on a warrant charging him with
violation of probation.
* Michael Dennis Floyd, 45, 803 Huffman Hill
Road, Piney Flats, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy
after the oficer was dispatched to U.S. Highway 19E in the
Valley Forge area to check on a subject lying beside the roadway.
Floyd was charged with public intoxication and possession
of Schedule I.
* David Thomas Grindstaff, 28, 170 Greendale
Road, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by Constable Bobby
Canter on a warrant charging him with assault under domestic
violence.
Theft
* Bobby Bobbitt, 62, 119 Alexander St., Hampton,
reported Sunday to CCSD Deputy Kenny Cornett that an acquaintance
came to his residence and brought a male subject with him
whom Bobbitt did not know. Sometime during the visit, the
male subject got into Bobbitt's 1989 Dodge truck and left.
While the officer was taking the report on the stolen vehicle,
he was advised by a sheriff's department dispatcher that the
vehicle was involved in a pursuit in Sullivan County with
Tennessee Highway Patrol. The operator of the vehicle fled
on foot and the vehicle was recovered by THP.
Dog bite
* CCSD Deputy Dean Jones was dispatched Sunday
to Sycamore Shoals Hospital regarding a 5-year-old female
who had been bitten by a dog. Michael Vines, 1706 Scenic Drive,
told the officer that he, his father, and the child were on
Russell Hill Road picking up some equipment and that while
there, the child began playing with a Jack Russell terrier
when the dog snapped at her face. The child had lacerations
between the eyes, under the left eye, and four about punctures
to the right jaw, requiring 30 stitches.
