Arrests
* Oscar Eugene Osborne, 43, 22 Sycamore St.,
was arrested Tuesday by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Sgt. Keith Range following a traffic stop. Osborne was charged
with driving on revoked license and second-offense DUI.
* Daniel Lee Gross, 24, 1500 Valliant Drive,
Greeneville, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Sgt. Keith Range
following a traffic stop at the intersection of Milligan Highway
and Old Lewis Road. Gross was charged with second-offense
DUI and driving on revoked license.
* Manuel N. Johnson, 24, 1958 Roaring Creek Road,
Newland, N.C., was arrested Wednesday by CCSD Deputy Kenneth
Cornett on Walnut Mountain Road and charged with being a fugitive
from justice. Johnson was wanted in Avery County on a warrant
charging him with felony theft.
* Quintanella Kyle Rollins, 49, 305 E. Oakland
Ave., Johnson City, was arrested Wednesday by officers of
Johnson City Police Bureau. According to police, Rollins had
been in an argument with her husband, Cecil Rollins, and then
chased him through the neighborhood with a butcher knife.
Mrs. Rollins was charged with aggravated assault under domestic
violence.
* Larry D. Buchanan, 47, 225 Beasley St., was
served a summons Wednesday by Elizabethton Police Department
Ptl. Mike McIntosh after the officer responded to Sycamore
Shoals Emergency Room regarding a male subject who advised
that he had been assaulted the previous night in front of
his residence. Buchanan told the officer that when he exited
his vehicle, a male subject, who he did not know, hit him
in the head with his fist and kicked him several times while
he was on the ground before leaving the scene. Ptl. McIntosh
conducted a warrant check on Buchanan and found that he had
a summons taken out against him Dec. 31 by Glen Graham, 125
Nave St., Hampton. Buchanan advised the officer that Graham
was not the person that assaulted him. Buchanan was served
the summons for assault and given a Jan. 8 court date.
* Joshua K. McBurney, 19, 804 Penn Ave., Bristol,
Tenn., was arrested Thursday by EPD Sgt. Matt Bailey following
a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 91 and Taylortown
Road. McBurney was charged with DUI. A passenger, Joshua Aaron
Blair, 20, 201 Dalewood Drive, Johnson City, was charged with
public intoxication.
