* Jeffery L. Campbell, 41, 32015 Lyndale St., Johnson City, was arrested Sunday on warrants issued by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Mike McIntosh following a one-vehicle accident on Milligan Highway. Campbell was traveling south when he failed to negotiate a curve, hit a guard rail, then struck a utility pole. Campbell's vehicle traveled down an embankment and into a culvert. A Mason jar containing an alcoholic beverage was found in the front seat of the vehicle and Campbell had an odor of alcohol on his breath. He was transported to Johnson City Medical Center where he was admitted. Warrants were issued charging Campbell with seventh-offense DUI, fifth-offense driving on revoked license, habitual motor offender, and violation of the seat belt law.
* Robert Timothy Payne, 38, 591 Weaver Branch Road, Bluff City, was arrested Sunday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Shannon Deloach at Northeast Correctional Complex on a warrant charging him with theft over $10,000 and three counts of VIN alteration.
* Megan L. Vance, 27, 196 Old Milligan Hwy., Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Dean Jones after the officer responded to a domestic dispute. Hubert Vance told the officer that his daughter, Megan, came home around 6:15 a.m. with an unwanted guest. Around 1 p.m. the male left and his daughter became upset and began throwing things, hitting her father in the head and her mother in the nose. She then began hitting herself in the facial area, saying she was going to tell the police her father did it, according to the report. Megan Vance was told she was under arrest for domestic violence. She ran into the house where she was apprehended by Lt. Rocky Croy. Vance refused to put her hands behind her back, and instead held on to the corner of the wall. Officers used a chemical agent to bring Vance under control. She was charged with two counts of assault under domestic violence and resisting arrest.
* Nathan Dale Walton, 19, 7489 Hwy. 95, Lafayette, Ga., was arrested Friday by CCSD Lt. Robert Hooks and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
Burglary* Bluff City Police Department responded Dec. 10 to White's Shopping Center in Piney Flats where two drink machines had been broken into and an undetermined amount of cash taken. According to Police Chief Ken Potter, Ptl. Glen Stines was parked at Piney Bicycle Shop when he observed a green Cavalier with four male subjects inside pull into White's Shopping Center. Ptl. Stines observed the suspects insert a pry bar into a drink machine and attempt to pry it open. The officer surprised them and took them into custody. The subjects waived their rights following interrogation and confessed to breaking into the machines as well machines in Kingsport prior to going to Piney Flats. The suspects told officers they needed money to get Christmas gifts out of layaway. During inventory of the vehicle, officers found three pry bars, a screw driver, block of wood, gloves, marijuana and $339 in $1 bills. Arrested were: Dean Rainey III, 18, 364 Oak Hill Circle, Jonesborough, vandalism over $500 and possession of burglary tools; Uriah Scott Booher, 18, 1301 Seminole Drive, Johnson City, vandalism over $500 and possession of burglary tools; Damien Bryant, 21, 709 Pardee St., Johnson City, vandalism over $500, possession of burglary tools and possession of marijuana. A 15-year-old juvenile also was charged and was released to the custody of his mother.
