Arrests
* Joanne Michelle Clark, 129 Hidden Oaks Drive,
Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by Carter County Sheriff's
Department deputies for failure to appear on violation of
a worthless check charge.
* Linda Nave, 201 Franklin Lane, Elizabethton,
was arrested Saturday by the CCSD for assault under domestic
violence.
* Andrew Jackson Heaton, 124 Hillside Drive,
Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by the CCSD on violation
of probation.
Theft
* The Carter County Sheriff's Department investigated
the theft of two Sea Doo jet skis and a dual trailer taken
from Lakeshore Marina sometime during the night of Dec. 7.
Chad Allara, caretaker at Lakeshore Marina, reported one jet
ski was yellow and black and the other one was white and black.
They were owned by Truman Chaffin, 10-1/2 Persinger Drive,
Williamston, W. Va., according to the police report.
* On Dec. 7, Albert Harrison, 119 Rocky Top Drive,
Watauga, reported the theft of 33 baseball bats with an estimated
value of $10,000 in a burglary. The Carter County Sheriff's
Department is investigating.
* On Dec. 7, Carter County Sheriff's Department
deputies investigated an attempted break-in at the residence
of Wilma Guy, 135 Leroy Dugger Road, Butler.
Accidents
* On Dec. 7, Carter County Sheriff's Department
deputies were kept busy investigating five single-car accidents,
with no apparent injuries. The accidents involved: Ernest
D. Tolley, 347 Sims Hill Road, Elizabethton, whose car rolled
at the intersection of Long Hollow Road and Gap Creek Road;
Deana M. Graybeal, 197 Morey Hyder Road, Johnson City, whose
car wrecked on Bob Little Road near Snead Hill; Nellie C.
Kent, 110 Days End Road, Elizabethton, whose car wrecked on
Riverbottom Road; Melissa Leigh Pierce, 229 Ryder Church Road,
Bluff City, whose car wrecked on Piney Flats Road; and Allen
J. Potter, 510 Maple St., Elizabethton, whose car wrecked
on Swimming Pool Road.
Fire
* On Dec. 7, Carter County Sheriff's Department
deputies investigated a car fire, located at 233 Jim Elliott
Road, Elizabethton. The fire is still under investigation.
