Arrests
* Gary Lynn Dugger, 45, 131 Jim Morrell Road,
was arrested Monday by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Sgt. Penny Cornett after she and Deputy Albert Nave responded
to the residence regarding a domestic disturbance. Sandra
Campbell told officers that she and her live-in boyfriend,
Dugger, had an argument and that Dugger punched her in the
face. Campbell required medical attention. Dugger, who was
located at a nearby residence, told officers there wasn't
a problem at his residence. Officers observed blood on the
kitchen floor, a cell phone that appeared broken and a towel
with blood on it. Dugger's hands had blood on them and his
right forefinger was skinned at the knuckle. Dugger was charged
with assault under domestic violence.
* Matthew G. Ledford, 22, 109 Fitzsimmons Hill
Road, was arrested Friday by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett following
a traffic stop. Ledford was charged with violation of probation
from an outstanding warrant. He also was charged with possession
of drug paraphernalia.
* Albert Ross McIntosh, 31, 510 Peartree Lane,
was arrested Monday by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett following a
traffic accident on Bob Little Road. According to the report,
McIntosh said he got off the roadway into gravel and ran his
vehicle off an embankment and down into a field. McIntosh
was charged with DUI, violation of open container, and possession
of legend drugs. He was advised of the implied consent law
and agreed to take an Intoximeter test at Carter County Jail.
However, as he was about to be given the test, the officer
found that McIntosh had put a penny in his mouth. When advised
he would have to wait another 20 minutes to take the test,
he became belligerent and the test could not be given. He
additionally was charged with violation of implied consent.
* Troy Ray Hughes, 25, 257 Heaton Creek Road,
was arrested Monday by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson on warrants
charging him with assault under domestic violence and child
endangerment. He also was served an order of protection.
* Gregory Williams, 33, 347 Burbank Road, Roan
Mountain, was arrested Monday by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson
on outstanding warrants from Sullivan County charging him
with failure to appear on bad checks.
* James Henry Booth, 43, Mountain Home VA Medical
Center, Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Todd
Hamm on two capiases from Criminal Court charging him with
failure to appear.
* Marilyn D. Disher, 28, 1111 Arney St., was
arrested Sunday by Elizabethton Police Department Capt. Clyde
Croy following a traffic stop. She was charged with driving
on revoked license.
* Tina M. Campbell, 27, 129 Brown Road, was arrested
Friday by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters following a traffic stop.
Campbell was charged with speeding and driving on suspended
license.
* Gary L. Britt, 37, 448 Toll Branch Road, Johnson
City, was arrested Monday by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy after the
officer responded to a call regarding a reckless driver in
a tractor-trailer. Britt was charged with DUI, driving on
revoked license, and violation of implied consent.
* Shelia B. Hardin, 47, 606 N. Roan St., was
arrested Sunday by EPD Sgt. Roger Crowe after EPD Capt. Clyde
Croy observed a vehicle in the alley behind the police station.
When the driver saw the patrol car, according to the report,
she began backing up in the alley toward the vehicle, nearly
striking Sgt. Crowe's patrol car. Hardin was charged with
second-offense driving on suspended license.
* Timothy Lee Mayse, 20, 151 Jackson Ave., was
arrested Saturday by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy after EPD Ptl. Shannon
Peters stopped the vehicle for speeding. During the traffic
stop, Capt. Croy noticed an open container of beer in the
black floorboard of the vehicle, which Mayse admitted was
his. He was issued a citation for speeding by Ptl. Peters
and was charged by Capt. Croy with drinking under age.
* James A. Moretz, 22, 2510 Forge Creek Road,
Mountain City, was arrested Saturday by EPD Capt. Clyde Croy
following a traffic stop. He was charged with driving on revoked
license and simple possession.
* James E. Mays, 46, 176 Rogers Lane, Bluff City,
was arrested Saturday by EPD Ptl. Michael Merritt following
a traffic stop. Mays was charged with second offense driving
on revoked license, speeding, and violation of registration.
His vehicle was seized.
* Karen S. Hudson, 33, 1600 Church St., Greeneville,
was arrested Sunday by officers of Johnson City Police Bureau
and charged with theft over $500 and criminal impersonation
following investigation of a shoplifting incident at Wal-Mart.
Fatality
* Members of Sullivan County Sheriff's Office
responded Monday to 214 Echo Lane regarding a subject who
had been ran over by a truck. Bryce Moss, approximately 70
years old, was working on his vehicle, which had the motor
running, when it either jumped into gear or was already in
reverse. Moss was transported to Johnson City Medical Center
by Wings Air Rescue, where he later died of injuries, according
to Sgt. Ken Harr.
