Arrests
* Kevin Burrow, 18, 101 Burrow Lane, was arrested
Monday by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Jack Ramsey
following a traffic stop on old Southside Road. Burrow was
charged with driving on revoked license.
* Amy Nicole Russell, 30, 181 H. Heaton Road,
was arrested Monday by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters after the officer
was dispatched to 711 N. Pine St. regarding an unwanted guest.
Russell was charged with public intoxication.
* Joseph Michael Whitson, 18, 147 Wilbur Dam
Road, was arrested Monday by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Deputy Chad Grindstaff on a warrant out of General Sessions
Court charging him with violation of probation.
Theft
* Douglas McPheters, 33, 387 Tiger Creek Road,
reported Monday to CCSD Deputy Rick Taylor that $360 was taken
from his residence.
* Gregory D. Maney, 19, 1293 Bluefield Ave.,
reported Monday to EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters that someone removed
a Kenwood CD player from his vehicle. Maney said the vehicle
was locked and the windows rolled up at the time of the theft.
* Garrett J. Lindsey, 30, 7785 Oak Grove Road,
Monroe, Tenn., reported Monday to EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters
that he and his stepfather had been working at 212 N. Main
St., on a construction site. Lindsey said they left a utility
trailer at the job site chained to a telephone pole on Friday
evening. When a worker went to get the trailer on Saturday,
it was gone.
* Janet R. Turbyfill, front end manager at Ingle's,
reported Monday to EPD Ptl. Kevin Cable that a female came
into the store Sept. 21 and purchased $36 in groceries and
paid with a check in the amount of $250, written out to her
on the account of Sycamore Shoals Animal Hospital. The check
was returned to the store as bogus.
Break-in
* A 16-year-old male was arrested Monday by CCSD
Lt. Rocky Croy after he and Sgt. Keith Range responded to
962 Smalling Road regarding a break-in in progress. The juvenile
was apprehended by neighbors and transported by officers to
Carter County Sheriff's Department where he was ordered to
be transported to Johnson City Juvenile Detention Center by
Juvenile Officer Mike Wood.
