Arrests

   * Shawn Marie Hodge, 30, 2773 Bob Little Road, was arrested Thursday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Brad Proffitt on a warrant charging her with failure to appear with fines and costs on vandalism.
   * Angela Yvonne Canter, 35, 154 Ollie Collins Road #4, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Brad Proffitt on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
   * Jerry Ray Thomas Oaks, 19, 920 S. Second St., was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Brad Proffitt on a warrant charging him with theft over $500.
   * Dino Eugene Austin, 28, 282 Spice Hollow Road, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Jeffrey Markland after Amy Austin told the officer that her husband came to her residence and forced her to take him to Johnson City. She said he assaulted her by pulling her hair and jerking her around and that while traveling Highway 181, he tried to jerk the car into a bridge and cause them to wreck. She said that when she got the car pulled over and got out of the vehicle, he assaulted her again. When he turned away from her, she jumped in her car and left him on the side of the road. Dino Austin was located by Johnson City Police Department officers on Price Road, near Mrs. Austin's residence. He was charged with aggravated assault and violation of an order of protection.
   * Jennifer Bacon, 21, 5665 Hwy. 19E, Hampton, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Tim Lowe on warrants charging her with violation of probation and failure to appear on theft.
   * Johnny W. Taylor Jr., 41, 2226 Dave Buck Road, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Deputy Rick Taylor on warrants charging him with violation of probation.

Robbery

   * Officers of Johnson City Police Bureau were called around 7 p.m. Thursday to Judy's Crossing, 908 N. Roan St., regarding an aggravated robbery. Officers were advised that a white male, about 25 years old, weighing 170 pounds, with short dark hair and wearing a blue sweater and blue jeans, entered the store and demanded all of the money from the register after brandishing a weapon. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, traveling south on North Roan Street. Gunshot

   * Officers of Johnson City Police Bureau were dispatched Friday to Northside Hospital Emergency Room regarding a person with a gunshot wound. Officers spoke with the victim, Justin C. Kinch, 115 Beechnut St., #C3, who told them that while carrying his handgun into his residence, he dropped it on the ground and it discharged. The bullet struck him in the calf area of his left leg. The investigation is continuing.
