* Larry D. Hughes, 26, 1138 Rittertown Road,
Hampton, was arrested Sunday by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Deputy Jeffrey Markland on a warrant taken out by his wife,
charging him with assault under domestic violence.
* Lloyd Cecil Bennett, 42, 803 Swagley Road,
Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley
and charged with public intoxication.
* David M. Barnett, 31, 131 Russell Hill Road,
was arrested Friday by Constable Capt. Tom Smith on a warrant
from General Sessions Court charging him with violation of
* Craig Perkins, 30, 197 Willard Perkins Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Friday by CCSD Deputy Chris Pierce
on a warrant charging him with contempt.
* Gene Andrew Foshia, Regency Square Drive, #10,
Johnson City, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Laverne Julian
and charged with DUI.
* Carl Junior Wallace, 51, 115 Mountain Ridge
Lane, Roan Mountain, and Iris Renee Wallace, 45, same address,
were arrested Saturday by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson. Carl
Wallace was charged with second-offense DUI. Iris Wallace
was charged with public intoxication.
* Donnie James Blevins, 22, 1229 Broad St., was
arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. Mike Fraley and charged with driving
on suspended license and violation of registration.
* Billy Wayne Peters, 42, 210 Bob's Hollow, was
arrested Sunday by CCSD Deputy Albert Nave and charged with
* Angela Dawn Centers, 25, Lee Highway, Bristol,
Va., and Charles Edward Webb, 34, 114 S. Lynn Ave., were arrested
Tuesday by Elizabethton Ptl. Brooke Mullins and Sgt. Charlie
Moreland after the officers were dispatched to a domestic
assault. Both were charged with assault under domestic violence
and public intoxication.
* Timothy Lee Blackwell, 31, P.O. Box 9, Roan
Mountain, was arrested Monday by CCSD Deputy Brad Proffitt
on warrants charging him with failure to appear on flagrant
non-support, failure to appear on theft, forgery, two attachments
for contempt, and being a fugitive from justice.
* Michael Trussler, 20, 101 Smith Ave., was arrested
Monday by CCSD Sgt. Eugene Moreland on a warrant charging
him with violation of probation.
* EPD Capt. Rusty Verran received a report Monday
from Larry Paul Trivett, 47, 123 Cade Road, Johnson City,
concerning possible vehicle sabotage. Trivett said that on
Sunday he took his truck to Little Stoney off Highway 91 to
visit a family member. As he was returning home, his vehicle
began vibrating near the VFW on West Elk Avenue. Trivette
said he slowed down and as he went through the intersection
of Highway 67 and West G Street, the left wheel came off the
front of his vehicle, nearly causing him to collide with other
vehicles on the roadway. Trivett said the incident damaged
a center cap and that he had to replace some lug nuts. Trivett
said he suspects that someone loosened the lug nuts on his
truck. He said he replaced the tires on the vehicle about
six months ago and had experienced no problems before the
