Vehicle sabotage

   * EPD Capt. Rusty Verran received a report Monday from Larry Paul Trivett, 47, 123 Cade Road, Johnson City, concerning possible vehicle sabotage. Trivett said that on Sunday he took his truck to Little Stoney off Highway 91 to visit a family member. As he was returning home, his vehicle began vibrating near the VFW on West Elk Avenue. Trivette said he slowed down and as he went through the intersection of Highway 67 and West G Street, the left wheel came off the front of his vehicle, nearly causing him to collide with other vehicles on the roadway. Trivett said the incident damaged a center cap and that he had to replace some lug nuts. Trivett said he suspects that someone loosened the lug nuts on his truck. He said he replaced the tires on the vehicle about six months ago and had experienced no problems before the incident.
