Knights of Columbus presents teddy bears to local law officers

  The St. Elizabeth Knights ofColumbus Council No. 10743, Elizabethton, has continued the Teddy Bear program instituted last year by donating teddy bears to the Carter County Sheriff's Department, the Elizabethton Police Department, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
  Law enforcement officers keep the teddy bears in their respective vehicles to have available for children involved in accidents or other stressful situations.
  Council members recently presented the teddy bears and other stuffed animals to Sgt. Danny Hilbert of the Elizabethton Police Department; Trooper Greg Marlow of the Tennessee Highway Patrol; and Carter County Sheriff John Henson.
  Among council members attending the presentation were Sam Barker, Grand Knight, Tom Manning, Dean Batchelder, Mike King, Mark Gerdin and Jim Cathelyn.
