Bluff City man arrested on drug charges

   Carter County Sheriff's Department police officers on Sunday night arrested a Bluff City man on drug charges.
   Toby S. Bare, 26, 630 Elizabethton Hwy., Bluff City, was arrested after a police chase that resulted in Bare attempting to flee on foot.
   According to police reports, CCSD Deputy Eric Buck saw the vehicle Bare was driving cross the center line on Okolona Road. A chase continued through Washington County and back into Carter County. Bare's vehicle stopped on Cripple Creek Road when one of his front tires was deflated by stop sticks. He then tried to flee the scene.
   Bare was charged with possession of a Schedule II drug for resale, possession of a Schedule VI drug for resale, violation of registration, possession of drug paraphernalia, third offense driving on a suspended license, and felony evading arrest.
   He was transported to the Carter County Jail without further incident.
