JC home repair scam targets the elderly

From Staff Reports

The Johnson City Police Bureau has received information related to a home repair scam that targets the elderly.
According to officials, two individuals operating the scam gain entry into homes, then commit theft of property. The two are described as white males between 40 and 50-years-old who drive a newer model gray pickup with a flat-bed cover.
JCPB officers said those contacted by anyone representing a home repair organization or any other that doesn't seem legitimate are instructed to contact authorities immediately and to avoid letting the men into their home.
