Woman injured in Butler accident
From Staff Reports
A Telford, Tenn., woman was transported Thursday
afternoon to Johnson City Medical Center by Wings Air Rescue
following a one-car accident near the Butler Bridge.
Ina Christine Arnold, 38, of Telford, Tenn.,
was traveling west on Highway 67 in a 1989 Ford Mustang when
she veered across the highway into the end of a guardrail,
according to Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Galyon.
Arnold was issued a summons charging her with
second-offense DUI, second-offense driving on suspended license,
and violation of implied consent law.
Sgt. Galyon said family members had called Washington
County Sheriff's Department Thursday morning and reported
that Arnold was suicidal.
"According to her daughters, they had just buried
one of her grandsons over the weekend -- I think he was 2-1/2
months old -- and she was real down about that," Sgt. Galyon
said.
