Two arrested for stolen vehicle

From Staff Reports

Two people were arrested Tuesday afternoon after police were called to respond to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Mill Street.
Terisa Sara Johnson, 19, of Ormond Beach, Flordia, and Thomas Eugene Lambe, 25, of Rocky Point, N.C., were each charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Johnson was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice.
A criminal background check on Johnson revealed that she was wanted in the state of Flordia on charges of violation of pretrial services, possession of cocaine, possession of Schedule IV narcotics, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a valid driver's license and petty theft. She is currently being held in the Carter County Jail without bond pending extradition.
According to a report by Elizabethton Police Department Capt. Rusty Verran, the officer observed the two subjects in a white Plymouth Voyager traveling on Mill Street. The vehicle had a Nevada license plate, and when Verran ran a check on the license plate registration, the vehicle came up as having been reported stolen in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Both subjects are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Nov. 10.
