BOE to select top 2 candidates Thursday

From Staff Reports

The Elizabethton Board of Education is expected to select two finalists Thursday night in its search for the next director of Elizabethton City Schools.
A board meeting will be held Thursday night at the ECS administration building where board members are expected to submit two semi-finalists for the director of schools position. The board interviewed four candidates for the post last week.
The two finalists will be culled from candidates Guy G. Fisher, director of human resources with Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools; Richard McInturf, director of federal projects with Bristol Tennessee City Schools; John D. Payne, retired and most recently director of Unicoi County Schools, and David S. Roper, superintendent of Roanoke City Schools in Roanoke, Ala.
The BOE used the Superintendent Search Service provided through the Tennessee School Boards Association to select the system's next director.
The board meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
