JCPD nets major cocaine bust

  Three men are in custody and approximately a half million dollars worth of cocaine was pulled off the streets following a traffic stop in Johnson City on Wednesday.
  Riboberto Barrios, 23; Felix Torres Jose Carlos, 27, and Jaime Vargas, 31, all of 1500 Bell Ridge Rd., Apt. 33, were arrested by officers of the Johnson City Police Department on Wednesday after an officer conducted a traffic stop on the car the three were riding in.
  Barrios was charged with criminal impersonation and the possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale. Carlos and Vargas were also charged with the possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale.
  According to information released by the JCPD, "after the traffic stop, officers searched the vehcile and found five Kilos (11.02 pounds) of cocaine in the trunk of the vehicle." At that time, the three subjects were taken into custody.
  The cocaine has an estimated street value of $500,000. Officers also seized $1,300 in cash from the three men.
  A hearing date for Barrios, Carlos and Vargas has not been set yet. All three are being held without bond in the Washington County Detention Center.
