Cruise-In for charity group set for Oct. 16

From Staff Reports

Do you find yourself dreaming and wishing when you see beautifully restored vehicles or uniquely designed vehicles? Kingsport Kroger will have some great examples of both at their Second Annual Cruise-In. That same feeling of dreaming and wishing is what Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee wants to do for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Come by the Kingsport Kroger on East Stone Drive on Saturday, Oct. 16, for the Second Annual Cruise-In from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and experience a great afternoon! Area car enthusiasts will be entering their unique cars and vehicles for this event. Donations are taken in lieu of an entry fee or admission fee from the public. At 3 p.m. there will be an auction which among other things includes a replica race car hood autographed by a NASCAR driver.
Refreshments will be on sale and proceeds will be used to help make wishes come true for local children. You will see a lot of great cars and vehicles that are real winners. But the true winners are the kids that will get their wishes granted thanks to the donations. Kids like five-year-old Grace, who wants to go to the Sesame Street studio in New York and meet the real Big Bird! Or four-year-old Gabriel, who wants to go to Disney World!
