EHS Civinettes and FCA hold benefit
for Second Harvest Food Bank
From Staff Reports
The Elizabethton High School Civinettes and Fellowship of
Christian Athletes are teaming up this Halloween to help make
a difference in the community by sponsoring "Treat The Hungry"
to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.
Members of both clubs will be out in force on Halloween night
as ghost and goblins trick-or-treating for non-perishable
food items. Another way the community can contribute is by
bringing their trick-or-treaters by Elizabethton High School
near the flagpole where the organizations will be receiving
food items for the drive.
Homerooms at the school will also be participating in the
drive by bringing non-perishable items to the student's respective
homeroom Oct. 31 through Nov. 14. The homeroom that collects
the most food will be rewarded with a breakfast from the Jr.
Civinettes and FCA.
The community service project will benefit the area through
the food distribution by Second Harvest Food Bank to those
in need.
