Man charged with August burglary

A 25-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon and charged in connection with an August home burglary.
Enoch Paul Taylor, 25, of 138 Indian Creek Rd., was arrested at 2 p.m. Monday by Carter County Sheriff's Department Inv. Laverne Julian and charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $500 and theft over $1,000.
According to reports, on Aug. 19, Robert Bently, of 122 Earl Ave., Apt. 1, reported to CCSD officers that someone had entered his residence by climbing a piece of electrical wiring on the outside of the house and making entry into the attic vent.
"Once inside the attic, the ceiling was kicked in, allowing the person or persons to drop into the home," Julian states in his report.
At that time, Bently reported that $900 in cash had been stolen from the residence along with two credit cards. He also reported that a 1993 Toyota Truck which belonged to someone he knew and had been parked at his residence was stolen along with his property.
